Wasn't he on team internet back during SOPA/PIPA? Or am I thinking of someone else.
No, that's the right guy. He opposed SOPA and PIPA because he's against all internet regulation by the government. Dude's a small-government tea-partier/libertarian.
That's right, Ron Paul thinks that the Black Caucus only wants to end the war so that they can have all that money for food stamps instead. Which is unsurprising, considering he also said this in 1992, referring to the Rodney King Riots - “Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks.”
I mean, we already knew Old Ronnie was a racist old goat, but remind me again what would be so bad about feeding your citizens, rather than killing other people's?
Thanks Chaos! If i were a union leader, I'd have every teacher in the state assign a book known to offend the prosecutors and the Kansas senate. Then dare them to take everyone to court. Kansas will be doing this for teacher evaluations soon:
Internet freedom bill? Yeah... Dealing with a few idiots myself over that one. It's like a food freedom bill where the producers are free to mix feces into your food.
Because the law in question is talking about records and files not fish?
The exact wording of the Act states that it is a crime for anyone who “knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object” to do so with the intent of obstructing investigations. The Supreme Court has since discarded Yates’s prosecution, ruling that the Act’s language does not extend to fish:
“We agree with Yates and reject the Government’s unrestrained reading. ‘Tangible object’ in §1519, we conclude, is better read to cover only objects one can use to record or preserve information, not all objects in the physical world.”
I feel that's a hack job and they know it. The law was written poorly if someone could come up and say, "Well this guy filleted a fish so he needs to be prosecuted under blah blah blah."
Well, the critical point was that the fish themselves were critical evidence that the fishers were breaking the law, and they threw them out so that they wouldn't be found.

WHY IS NOT WANTING WAR SO YOU CAN FEED POOR PEOPLE A BAD THING?!?!
Meanwhile, Jim Inhofe threw a snowball to disprove Global Warming. He also apparently thinks snow in the northeastern U.S. in February is "unseasonable".
Seriously, is this a fucking joke?
Kansas will prosecute teachers for assigning books they don't like.
Fuck Kansas.

Everyone is afraid of high fructose corn syrup. So lets call it corn sugar instead!
Stripper isn't selling in fish markets. Lets call it sea bass!
Sad thing is, being a marketing major, that'll be my job.
It'd be like Tammany Hall IRL!
But the party could be the Backscratchers.
Everyone that doesn't agree with them is clearly a Nazi. Every bill with the work Freedom in it is "good".
Facts Hard. Freedom Good. Liberal Nazi Muslim Obama Fire Bad!!!
