I was watching Mask of the Phantasm last night when I realized no one had posted it yet.
What a crazy random happenstance, I also watched Mask of the Phantasm last night!
I really gotta see that damn movie, it looks all levels of awesome. The one question I have is why didn't it do well in the box office. From what I understand it took everything that made the series great and made it better on the big screen. I hope it holds up to "Heart of Ice" and my hopes say it will.

It was a Disney movie that wasn't animated, combined with the parental outcry over Batman Returns. The movie was doomed for a box office failure from the start.
I disagree. You're still hanging around here, after all.
Is that attributable to persistence or courage? Which is it?
Real-life courage and virtual courage are two different things. The only thing you guys can do is shatter my confidence and make me feel stupid. Real life can do a lot more to me, and I am very unlikely to try new or dangerous things in real life. But thank you for the compliment.

Poor terminology. What you call "virtual" courage is no less real than "real-life" courage; Wikipedia uses the better terms "physical courage" and "moral courage", though I think that between the two the scope is still a bit narrow.

You say that like it's something minor. Online forums can have significant emotional impact; there are a few people around here who can tell you that. The fact is that despite the way people like to draw a line between meatspace and cyberspace, they are blending together more and more.

My point is, I don't have the courage to try new food, or do scary or new things in real life. Talking to people on the internet can only harm me mentally, which while being dangerous, can be written off by me just telling myself that "people are stupid." Of course, that may not be true, especially with this forum, but it'll work when I have problems.
I have a full playlist here of my top 250 anime opening and ending themes as of November 2008 (I'll probably make an updated version of it to reflect changes next November). Most people won't want to watch the whole thing, though, so here's just my top 15:
Won't post all my favourite themes for other things since I like way too many of them. Here are some of the first few awesome ones that pop to mind and haven't been posted already, though:
Gargoyles (annoying bumper and overlay text in the middle, but it's the best quality version of the instrumental opener I could find)

And yeah it's a really good movie. I think if it had been a little longer to spend more time on things it would have been great.

Beetlejuice (the movie, not the cartoon series)
