Is the dragon Eastern or Western? If Eastern, please specify whether it is a Divinity, or if it was banished to the kingdom of men for causing a fire in his father's presence. If it is a Divinity, please specify whether it reached Divine Dragon status through the karmic cycle or through a pilgrimage to the Western Pure Land.

  • English regal coppers can't hold a candle next to the African Golden, the Golden's roar will make them wet themselves.
English Regal Coppers aren't afraid of French Grand Chevaliers and those are in the same weight class! No way the Regal Copper would be afraid of the African Golden.

Eh, I've seen a small African Golden take down a Russian Black Dragon, that has to say something.
  • Okay, but all that says to me is that you would rather follow tradition than follow your moral convictions.
In all seriousness, if you remain a part of an institution that goes against your moral doctrines for the sake of tradition, then your moral convictions must be fairly weak.
I follow the basic principles of "The Tradition" which for me is to love life and humanity. I really don't care much of all the papal doctrines if only because I don't believe that the Pope can be infallible since he is human.
But you ascribe to a religion that clearly and unequivocally accepts papal infallibility. You lend credence to this belief by joining and continuing to patronize this organization, even though you say you do not agree with it.
Can you not love life and humanity without allying yourself with a Church that incorporates dogmatic rules that go against your own moral beliefs? Moreover, they - in your name and the name of your god - exert their clout (provided by you and other members of their Church) to pressure world governments to create or continue laws that go against your own moral beliefs and yet you still throw your lot in with them.
Well, I haven't really patronize the Catholic church since I left Peru. I go to mass mostly on Easter and Christmas, and the last time I confessed myself was about 9 years ago. My experiences with the Catholic church here in the USA were pretty discouraging to say the least. One month after I arrived I went to church in order to do some volunteering work and they told me that I can't because I was not part of their parish. I didn't know what was the concept of parish since it basically didn't existed in my country. So they send me to another church and they told me that I would get something on the mail, I thought "Yeah, some information on volunteering opportunities or things of that manner". Instead I got about 12 envelopes for money, I was really confused since we didn't do that in my country. In a way I think that I stopped going to mass because of the many disagreements that I have Catholicism in the USA.
I believe that you can love life and humanity without the need to associate to a specific Church. I do it because I believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church the brought me up during my Confirmation. It is kind of weird but I would be considered Catholic in Peru but not would not be consider Catholic by many American Catholics, which has happen once or twice already :P
A good sample of my situation would be of the many Americans that were against the war, they would protest against it but they would still call themselves Americans, even though many conservatives would tell them that they were not "real" Americans.

Oh please, that Russian Black was probably half-dead from heartburn (Don't laugh, heartburn is an extremely serious condition in dragons).

It's quite true. The difference between US Catholicism and "rest-of-the-world" Catholicism is pretty frightening. I almost wish the US church would split off so I could officially align myself with the far better views of say, my family members in Spain who are Catholic. They just legalized abortion and gay marriage there, and the relatively huge Catholic population was pretty calm about the entire thing. I sort of think they learned a lesson about separation of church and state the hard way during the Inquisition.

Serious condition that is, the ignational organ bursts, which seriously weakens the upper heart of the dragon.

Back in the days when I used to be a wee' scholar, I encountered an old man, older than time itself, not as old as Old Man Joe mind you. He told me about the dragons of the lost ways, and how their venerable king was inflicted with this harsh condition, that disease brought down most of their once magnificent kingdom. Such a sad tale...
