  • Isn't that just a little hypocritical?
From the view that I'm not an astounding athlete, no. From the view that I'm an American, and an American with a poutine craving...Yeah. Yes, it is. However, I've found that this is a good antidote to poutine cravings.
  • Well, Congrats to Team Canada and it's good to see Mike Richards earn a medal :)
    Go Canada!

This Olympics was worth it for Shatner alone.

Edit: Also, mega-props for fitting in a Trek reference in the closing ceremony of a Winter Games.

  • Well, using my medal scoring, the USA still has the most points.
Can we add a factor in your equation to adjust for population size of the Country? Every 1 medal Slovakia wins should be equal to like 5 U.S.A medals.

Population size and sports participation and [...]. You can just keep adding variables, but it still means nothing. The Olympics cannot be won since it's not a competition. It's just a collection of competitions.

So you cannot win the decathlon?
  • It would be more accurate to say that there is no universally accepted definition of "winning" the olympics.

If the Olympics fattens your wallet, then you win.

I vote that the country which takes bronze in mens ice hockey wins the olympics.

6-1 goals says your vote doesn't mean squat.

At least we came out of it with silver instead of bronze, looser.

  • Hah, silver is depressing, but bronze is awesome. You lose.

Really? I'd like to hear your reasoning.
  • Oh wow. That's pretty interesting.
