So the guy who made Passage is working on something new. It's nothing like Passage which, depending on who you are, might be a good thing, but either way
this slideshow nicely illustrates what the game is. If you don't have the patience for that, it basically brings tabletop RPG storytelling to computer gaming. Player 1 controls the main character, who can talk to characters and interact with the environment adventure game style, and player 2 controls the environment and all of the NPCs. Pretty neat, eh?
Not only does it try to solve the adventure game AI problem (by removing it entirely), but I think the idea of bringing real-time communal storytelling into computer gaming is really exciting. It's like the Little Big Planet of adventure games; putting user-generated content to the forefront in a (hopefully) user-friendly way. I'm amazed nobody has tried this before now.
Is anyone else as excited as me to see how this turns out?

"There is no single-player mode. It is easiest to play over a local network. Have a friend over and plug in two laptops, or play over local WiFi. It can be played remotely over the Internet, but one player will probably need to fiddle with his or her router settings. Instructions for remote Internet play are included."
I imagine that's going to kill this for most of you.
Nice idea, but useless, at least for me.
Granted, I feel like Hamachi is a better system.
EDIT: It looks like SidTube is the place to go for now.
