Is that so? You're not the only one who sends in submissions.

Hint: To anyone else that wants to participate, you will likely have a better chance of winning if you send in your submission over Ryan. :P

Photo Friday -- Atari 2600 Cartridge Covers

    image

Name that Atari 2600 game with the cover provided. Perhaps this will be worthy of Scott Rubin of GeekNights since he likes challenging trivia. Perhaps I may even see a submission from him.

Send your submissions to ro.rosaka@gmail.com. Deadline is next Thursday, 02/02/2012, at 12AM PST. One winner will be randomly selected and given a shout-out on our next recording.
  • Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. Ro, did you use my email as the posted answer bank?
  • Yes, I did. I forgot to send myself the answers on an email to paste them here. ^_~

So that's the only props I will give you. :P Thank you.
  • This is definitely challenging trivia! I'm 27 and am probably too young for this one. Can only name 6 or 7. The 80s sci-fi art is awesome to look at though.
  • I think #23 is a trick.
  • Nope. It's just not the American release of the game. ( *`ω´)

Well, that's what Jason said since he's the one that did it. I was lazy this week and this was has been in the vault for such an occasion.
  • Nope. It's just not the American release of the game. ( *`ω´)
That's still bullshit. How am I supposed to know if it's the original or the sequel? Random guessing?

What Scott? I thought you liked your questions hard?

Hard, but fair, like Super Meat Boy. Not hard and broken, like Jekyll and Hyde for NES.
  • It's not a foreign release; it's a variant cover. Most of the high-selling Atari games had the artwork you love and then some variants. A lot of them are variants because of the licensing for cross-platform releases, such as Coleco. I figured the variant on No. 23 would be fairly easy.

I don't know how I feel about this.

It is very easy, but because the game has a sequel, there is no way to know which one it is.
  • Sucks to be you.
  • Man, spoiler tag your shit. That's no an official submission. Don't you want to try to win? :P
