On the topic, I loved the hell out of Colossus, and I can't wait to get the HD remakes of both, especially to play Ico for the first time.
As far as the PS3 vs 360 thing goes, I got my PS3 for three reasons, one of which very few people seem to care that much about. 1) Game library is more my style, but that does vary from person to person. 2) I'm a physical media holdout, so I like having my good Blu-ray/DVD collection. I do like my Netflix streaming, but quality, selection, and reliability are not there yet to be a replacement for discs. 3) The PS3 doesn't break. I don't know a single person (IRL) with a 360 who hasn't had a RROD. Fuck that noise.
On the other hand, if I had the money, I would probably pick up a 360 Slim if for no other reason than that I could borrow games more often instead of buying them.
Mine is 2 years old, and not a launch one, so I think I'm okay. It's had some trouble reading high-density disks for 'big' games, but I've narrowed that down to a dust issue.

It could be "Mario's Knit-tendo Party" or some such silliness.
