Shadow of the Colossus and Ico

  • On the topic, I loved the hell out of Colossus, and I can't wait to get the HD remakes of both, especially to play Ico for the first time.

As far as the PS3 vs 360 thing goes, I got my PS3 for three reasons, one of which very few people seem to care that much about. 1) Game library is more my style, but that does vary from person to person. 2) I'm a physical media holdout, so I like having my good Blu-ray/DVD collection. I do like my Netflix streaming, but quality, selection, and reliability are not there yet to be a replacement for discs. 3) The PS3 doesn't break. I don't know a single person (IRL) with a 360 who hasn't had a RROD. Fuck that noise.

On the other hand, if I had the money, I would probably pick up a 360 Slim if for no other reason than that I could borrow games more often instead of buying them.

    You have a PS3 AND a 360?!!
    Color me jealous.
And a Wii, a DSi, and gaming capable PC. >___>
And what does she do in her sparetime? Knit and IforgottheEnglishwordfortheotherthing.
Has anyone already made a joke about making a game for the Wii that uses the WiiMote as a knitting needle?

It could be "Mario's Knit-tendo Party" or some such silliness.

  • I would only get the 360 for the Halo series, in the mean time I am happy-go-lucky with my ps3 :P

I did. I mean, granted, we've never met in real life, but you've at least corresponded with a person who has had one.

As did I, on my launch 360 - after three and a half years, give or take.
  • Mine is 2 years old, and not a launch one, so I think I'm okay. It's had some trouble reading high-density disks for 'big' games, but I've narrowed that down to a dust issue.
