What's the best way to trim nose hairs? FML

    A nose hair trimmer.
I got a nose trimmer attachment, but it doesn't quite have 'reach'. So I get prickly hairs, or long ones at the back. Very irritating.

Definitely never pluck, god almighty, never pluck.
    Get a stand-alone one.

  • The price of those scissors, wtf? lol

This one seems to be 'the one'.

  • I got that one. It's good.

    ITT: old people

Nobody was born old. This... this will happen to you.. BEWARE.
  • I used to be "with it," but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't "it" and what "it" is seems weird and scary to me.

    It will happen to you.
  • Maybe not. Do you remember ever not having the internet at your house? I don't. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna live forever.
  • Not random questions but I thought I'd write a list of questions to help me talk with conspiracy theory people. This is coming up more and more. I want to be fair and admit that I don't know everything about every situation but I'm not going jump onto any crazy stuff because I don't know all the details. Can you think of any more?

1 What is the event and what are the various explanations?
2 Does someone have to be unreasonably competent to successfully fulfil the claim?
3 Is the proposal complicated and dependent on lots of things happening?
4 How many people need to keep a secret for the plan to work?
5 What is the scale of the ambition of the person or group behind the plan?
6 Do events follow logically from each other?
7 Are events given "sinister" significance?
8 Which parts are facts and which parts are speculation?
9 Who is telling this portrayal of events and what else would they like me to believe?
10 Can we outright reject an explanation?
11 Is evidence being chosen to selectively support an idea?
12 How long ago did these events take place?
  • Do not engage with conspiracy theory people. If it is coming up more and more, run away! Your time is more valuable than that.

    Agreed.

It's in your best interest to cut these people out of your life as cleanly as possible at the first opportunity.

  • Is there any reason to play the first Witcher game? I have it, and the second, but it's so mind-numbingly boring and Not Fun to play that I want to skip it. For the record, I'm in Vizima and am in the middle of the autopsy quest.

Counterargument: These interactions can often be funnier than the best entertainment you can buy.

I apply the "internet only" rule here.
  • Those interactions are entertaining until you're old enough to have had them several times.

It turns out they're all the same interaction. It's like watching the same bad movie over and over again. You can see exactly where it's going.
  • Should we charge anyone who says "The South shall rise again" with treason?

I wonder how many politicians have said that on camera and should be shamed as being un-American.
  • Charge someone for doing actual harm. Is there a case that speech directly caused harm?

Speech should always be defeated with more speech, no?

It's a great example of self delusion. If you're life is all cocked up, you're unhappy, things suck... can't be your fault, it must be an over arching conspiracy against you.

  • I find some entertaining. I especially like the Reptilians. The regular Illuminati conspiracy just annoys me because for some reason its always linked to Satanism and because its like they're almost there. Its not some singular group out to get everyone. Corrupt people with money and power use corruption to keep their money and power.
  • Here's something interesting for you - that whole reptillians/reptoids thing can be traced back to ONE SPECIFIC GUY. We actually know who the originator for that conspiracy theory is. And since you're wondering now, it's David Icke.
  • I knew he made it "big" but I couldn't remember if he actually created it or was just its biggest proponent.
  • Anyone know of a good website or program that would allow you to download YouTube videos in bulk?
  • My parents are visiting in the US and asked if I wanted anything.
What is a really authentic American bourbon? I know a fair bit about various whiskeys but nothing about bourbon.
  • My news app for Android just died (circa news) anyone know of a good news app for Android? Something that grabs headline type stuff across a broad spectrum of topics and is reliable.

Have your folks get Kentucky Bourbon from what I remember it's the only state that can claim on the bottle that it's Kentucky Bourbon. Bourbon is an actual place in Kentucky if I'm not mistaken.

Found this informative list about bourbon

  • Not in fact true. Any Bourbon can claim to be Kentucky Bourbon - not putting that on the bottle is a gentleman's agreement at best. There might be an obscure US law regarding it, but frankly, I've not heard of it.

The place you're thinking of is Bourbon County. There's some debate as to which is named after the other, as unfortunately, there's practically zero documentation regarding the early history of Bourbon.

I think the law is regarding "Tennessee Whiskey" which somehow Jack Daniels got the lock on it.

    EDIT: Wiki explains it.
