    Thunder spirits
    Final Fantasy IV
    Final fantasy VI
    Castlevania IV
Super mario world!and those fucking special levels which I spent hours, and beat,on only to end up with my file erased later that night.
Zelda, a link to the past
    contra III
    Super metroid
    Starfox
  • NBA Jam TE - I didn't really have much choice ;)
  • Super Mario World
    Final Fantasy III and VI
    A Link to the Past
    Super Metriod
    Actraiser
    Chrono Trigger
    Secret of Mana
    Secret of Evermore
  • Gemfire, Aerobiz.
  • I loved to see the RPG Shadowrun land on the VC. I'm one of the only people who liked the FPS version on the 360/PC. I'd be interested to see the big differences between the games. I'd also like to get into the novels.
  • Hm, let me think about it.

    Yup, still Chrono Trigger.

Populous should get a special "fuck you" award.
  • I never had a Super Nintendo, and that makes me sad. My parents wouldn't buy one for me... but I played the living hell out of my friend's one!
My list is very similar to everyone elses:
    Super Metroid
    Super Mario World
    Super Mario All-Stars
    Yoshi's Island
Chrono Trigger (even though I liked the PS1 version better)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA version is better, though)

I also cry for the lack of Mother in America. Get off your asses, Nintendo, and release the games!
  • Chrono Trigger (even though I liked the PS1 version better)
I loved the cutscenes, but the PS1 version has a very noticeable lag during battles
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA version is better, though)
Only better because its portable. I still love the feel of an SNES controller in my hand, but man does it feel light compared to anything from the past decade.
I also cry for the lack of Mother in America. Get off your asses, Nintendo, and release the games!
We're just a bunch of crying Motherboys.
  • Super Metroid
    Super Mario World
    Earthbound
    Mario Paint
    Final Fantasy IV
    Final Fantasy VI
    ActRaiser

    Secret of Mana
    Secret of Evermore
    Megaman X1 and X2
    Dragon Quest V
    Kirby Super Star
    Harvest Moon
    and Kirby's Dream Land 3
  • Super MetroidSuper Mario All-Stars (does that count?)
I say yes, because you were able to play all 3 Super Mario's along with Lost Levels and able to save your lives and items. I would hope they release it for VC, but they probably won't.

  • Game I love and still play nearly every day:

Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World.

I've been learning to speedrun on the original Mario, and I can get about 10 minutes. I can never get tired of Mario.
  • Kirby's Superstar and Chrono Trigger are the best SNES games.
  • TMNT: Turtles in Time. The best side scrolling fighting game ever.
  • Secret of Mana
    Super Mario World
    Mario Kart
    Actraiser
    Street Fighter 2 Turbo
    TMNT Turtles in Time
    Super Metroid
    Star Fox
    Super Castlevania
Legend of Zelda Link to the Past
    Final Fantasy III(6)
    Donkey Kong Country
  • I would have to say EVO, even though Super Mario World is better, no list should be without EVO. I remember really liking the ability to customize your creature.

Even though I'd take the Genesis over the SNES any day, Super Mario Bros. has got to be one of my favorite classic console games.

  • A friend of mine gave me his old SNES for my birthday. I can finally play all my favorite games all over again, I just need to find them.
Well at least I found Killer Instinct at a used book store today :D
  • This is an unfair question, I have like 10.
    Super Punch Out!!
    Super Metroid
Secret of Evermore (it's bad but I love it)
    Mega Man X

Those are just a few to get started. Snes is my favorite console.
  • I thought about it, and there are way way too many A+ games for the SNES.

    But you know what.

    Super Metroid is A++
  • Super Metroid is A++
I still hold out hope that one day I'll find a Super Metroid cart.
  • Turtles in Time and Super Mario Kart (battle mode).
  • 1) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    2) Super Mario World
    3) Super Mario RPG
    4) Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (seriously)
    5) Super Mario All-Stars (yeah yeah, kind of a cop-out, but in terms of times I've played it, it's second only to Zelda)

Some day I will actually play Super Metroid and see what all the fuss is about. Also Final Fantasies 4-6, then I will have played all of the SNES games I care to.

    11. Contra 3

Yeah, so your opinion counts as much as that of a film critic who hasn't seen Star Wars. What are you waiting for?
I still hold out hope that one day I'll find a Super Metroid cart.
What do you need it for? Emulate and/or Virtual Console that shit.
  • Duck hunt. Play some fucking duck hunt. That was the only game I ever played on the NES, and I loved it.
  • 1. Zelda: ALttP
    2. Final Fantasy IV and VI (II and III if you are so inclined that way)
    3. Chrono Trigger
    4. Earthbound
    5. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Play them, love them. If you played all five of those...That's at least half a year of playtime, I'd imagine, to get through all of those. And that's just for completion. If you take your time, it could be much longer.
