We'll definitely have to set up some fightin' over the WiFi. Stay tuned (after Katsucon), though you guys can all organize some matches yourselves if you like. Scott and I can be the "bosses" for a tournament. ;^)
Asking all the Advance Wars veterans here: what affects your choice of CO, and in this particular example, how would you proceed?
Has anyone played that mission yet with perfect scores?
Take for instance 'Ridge Island' in the War Room, with a single CO, just one opponent, and skills set to 'off' so that experience will be increased by a factor of 2.5. The enemy CO is Grit - and he creams me every time.
Yet, when he attacked my Unit A with his Unit B it would kill me.
Yet, when he attacked my Unit A with his Unit B it would kill me.It could be terrain, or it could be the CO power whatnot. I can assure you that in multiplayer the game is dead even fair.
If a free play game has a time limit is the winner the one with the most units?
The war room are challenges that are designed to be played after you beat the normal game. If you're a nub, you should be playing campaign only until you beat all of it.
Does that mean that without the "skills" that come with increasing CO rank, you cannot finish the war room levels with the maximum score?
Now that I have completed the campaign missions I'm going back and trying to S rank all of the missions. I can not get an S rank on the mission where you get your first factory (not sure which number). Has anyone been able to S rank this one?
Does that mean that without the "skills" that come with increasing CO rank, you cannot finish the war room levels with the maximum score?I can tell you that the key is [...] patience.
