Netflix Watch It Now

I'm now able to use "Watch It Now" on Netflix thanks to the not-so-secret hack to jump to the front of the line.

The selection is pretty terrible. The anime availability is limited to:

- Ghost in the Shell
- Ninja Scroll
- Street Fighter Alpha
- Blood: The Last Vampire
- Appleseed
- Black Jack: The Movie
- Perfect Blue
- Macross 2: The Movie

    Perfect Blue is totally awesome. We've only seen it once. We're thinking about getting the DVD from Netflix and watching it again. Then we can do a show on it.

    I used the hack, but I have to wait until later to play with it.

    I've seen most of the anime you listed, but I just can't wait to play with this. This could finally be the beginning of the end of DVD media (and Blu-Ray and HD DVD too).

    The only real inconvenience for me is the streaming aspect. I like to watch video when I'm on the road, and now I have to depend on a good internet connection away from home.

    I'm also having something weird happen when I hook my laptop up to my TV. For some reason, the entire image will not fit on my TV. I don't have this problem when I use Windows Media player. It's not a huge deal, though, since I just resize the window to something that fits.

    A lot of the old Doctor Who is streaming, as well as most of the new Doctor Who. I don't like how they tend to cycle through their streaming content, though, since I'll save something only to find it's not available anymore.

    Oh, and all of Battlestar Gallactica (old and new) is online, EXCEPT THE FIRST TWO EPISODES. Ugh.

    Black Dynamite watch it and enhance your bad ass kung fu.
    Definitely going to check out Golgo 13.

    edit: They also just added a number of National Geographic Documentaries.

    I watched 8 episodes of Golgo 13. In other news, my balls are now bigger, there is more hair on my chest and the Old Spice guy called to ask where his testosterone went.

    The new Netflix interface on the PS3 is pretty nice. The Search function is a godsend. It's about time they had that. Too bad I really don't need it as much because I have a laptop now.

    Even though it's nice they are finally adding the search function, it would be nice if they had more features available. A few things I would like to see:

    ~Being able to view/sort/arrange your queue by genre/movie/tv show.
    ~Have your queue automatically put all the TV shows in order once you add it to the queue and group them together.
    ~Give a better warning when a title will no longer be available.
    ~See the titles on your instant queue that ended the instant status.
    ~See a list of titles that will be available to the queue soon.

    I would honestly pay more money for Netflix if they implemented this as well as added more titles to their instant section. Even though it's a nice step that Netflix did this, they seem to be a bit slow when it comes to doing so.

    Netflix is pretty much the only thing keeping me on Windows now-a-days. The Silverlight plugin doesn't work in WINE, and Moonlight doesn't do DRM. If they did some sort of linux streaming, or say, streaming to the PSP/DS, I'd switch in a heartbeat.

    Netflix selection in Canada sucks. The only good thing I've watched on it was Paprika. I might watch some avatar(last airbender not james cameron) later.

    Kids in the Hall. Great sketch comedy. Episode 1 is an absolute classic of Canadian Comedy.

    Netflix needs a porn counterpart. All of the video-on-demand porn sites way overcharge and have pretty bullshit billing models.
