  • Netflix needs a porn counterpart. All of the video-on-demand porn sites way overcharge and have pretty bullshit billing models.
Genius. Do it and you'll be rich.

I thought that site was called the Internet :-p

It would require a huge amount of capital to acquire all the rights from the various studios, unfortunately. But it would definitely turn a profit within a year, even with the big upfront.

You can download a pretty good variety of full videos and DVDs for free but when it comes to streaming the pickings are actually quite slim. Sure most people are satisfied with whatever they happen to randomly browse on XTube but there's a market for people who want this or that particular DVD on demand.

    Black Dynamite
  • The ones Netflix keep telling me to watch again that are on streaming: Precious, Ponyo, Falling Down, Princess and The Frog, The Big Lebowski, Up.
  • If you haven't seen Falling Down you need to get on that post haste.

    D-FENCE

    Angry White Male: The Movie.
  • The Quest for the Mighty sword. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

It's one of Rym's favorite movies. If that doesn't say something for you, I don't know what does. I would also even call it one of the beginning trends of criminal behavior analysis.
  • Rym is definitely going to hang out with Neo Nazis and shoot up a McDonalds.
  • Angry White Male: The Movie.
"These boots are good for stompin' queers."

That line has stuck with me to this day.
  • "IT WAS USED, MAN"
  • "... And now you're gonna die, wearing that stupid little hat."
  • And then Michael Douglas vanished into obscurity for the rest of time.
  • Ive watched Gurren Lagann twice. I wish the movies were on there. Anyone know what the movies are about or where I can find them? I really cant use torrents since I am using a netbook and the computer in the house is not mine.

Movies are the series crammed into two movies where the fight at the end goes one step beyond what the series had. Basically if you have seen the series you just need to see the last 15 minutes of the second movie.
  • So Netflix on the 360... This current version is much better then the last one, at least we have a search function. But why can't we browse every catagory. What if I want to watch a movie but dont know the name? I dont care if they have the pictures for the movies. Just let me browse a list!!! And also. GET SOME NEW MOVIES NETFLIX!
  • Freakanomics. Srsly. So Awesome.
  • Hey, guys! I'm new to anime. What is there on Netflix that is a must-see? I've watched (and loved) Azumanga Daioh, the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Paprika, and Outlaw Star. And all of Miyazaki's stuff.

    Any suggestions?
  • FLCL and Baccano are worth streaming, and it's worth getting the DVDs for the Japanese dub of Trigun.

    Any suggestions?
Why yes! FLCL just got re-released and that's on Netflix streaming. It's six episodes long, has amazing animation and one of the most inventive approaches to a coming of age story ever. Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is a great sci-fi show about sexy robot cyber police ladies shooting robots in the face and also about the nature of existance. Baccano is a great take on a Guy Richie-esque 1930's gangster story. If you're down for awesome sci-fi action, Birdy the Mighty is good. If an episodic, atmospheric story is more your bag, then Mushi-shi is great. Claymore's good for fantasy action. Finally, if you want a really well realized steam-punk world, Last Exile is a lot of fun.

I just re-checked to make sure. No it is not. I will remove my reference to it in the above post. Sorry Gundampilotspaz.
  • Dont forget Eden of the East!!!
  • Awesome, lots of suggestions. I forgot to mention Claymore, I watched that last summer. It was pretty sweet. And my friend burned me a copy of Baccano!, but I can't seem to find it, so I may as well watch it on Netflix. I've also seen the first few episodes of Mushi-shi, and I liked what I saw. Unfortunately, Interstella 5555 is not available for instant viewing, but I'll add the rest to my queue. Thanks for all the tips!

Except the ending. FUCK that ending.
  • So, Jetsons: The Movie is a thing and it's on Netflix streaming. I watched it for the theme song then turned it off.

Star Trek is also supposed to be coming to Netflix streaming, right? Or did I dream that?

You were not dreaming. Come June 1st all of Star Trek (as in everything) is going to be on Netflix streaming.

P.S. Star Trek peeps! Which Star Trek series should I watch first. I've heard good things about Deep Space Nine.
