Also, to be more specific, what if "this day will soon be at an end" is said before midnight, and "and now it's even sooner" is said after?
Additionally, the first third of the year ends at 16:00 (4pm) on May 2nd, except on leap years during which it ends at 00:00 on May 3rd (i.e. at the end of May 2nd).
