Fark users respond to Valve possibly not being at E3 to talk about portal 2 and portal 2 release dates being pushed further away.
HeartBurnKid: MaxxLarge: dethmagnetic: This was a debacle. I'm making a note here - HUGE FAILURE. It's hard to overstate my disappointment.

Valve is a quitter. They did what they did...because...they suck. Thanks for nothing, all of you. I think I wish you were dead.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake
You just feed Gabe Newell some arsenic-filled cake
And you threaten him with a gun until the freaking game is done
For the people who are still alive

I'd call that a fail, rather than a win, because it's nothing more than the whining tantrums of a pack of entitled fucks.

But rather than just whine and spaz out, they made it interesting. My thing is not their whining, but their way of doing it.

  • From my brother's blog:

This morning's film is magical and literally breath taking!

This is an artistic film shot in many takes, not a documentary showing a single dive, so I definitly thinks it qualifies as a Mini Movie. What's even more amazing than Guillaume Nery's breathless dancing/acting is the fact that the person filming, Julie Gautier, was not using Scuba gear either. The entire project was made on held breath alone!
  • Some of you may have listened to Extralife Radio (R.I.P.) in the past. If so you are familiar with the artist Obsidian (or simply O) who is also behind the Webcomic Commissioned. He'll be doing his yearly "Commisionathlon" soon, basically a fund-raising thing where he takes commissions and draws art, at least one per day, for about a month straight. For some of them he's doing the creation videos again which are kind of an old hat by now as sooo many (webcomic) artists have put them out now, but they are also still really cool and he is one skilled motherfucker.

  • Found this on the L4D wiki. The music is really what makes it.
  • ^^^I looked up that website, my god, it's like brain acid.
  • Someone on Reddit posted this, and it works surprisingly well. Instant indie band cover art:
Your artist's name is the title of this random Wikipedia article.

The third random image is your album's cover
The last few words of the last quote is your album's name

Use some variation of Helvetica (usually white).

  • Rotary
The rotary engine works! And you HAVE to redline it regularly for maintenance purposes! What more could a gearhead want?

I want an RX-8 really badly.
  • The rotary engine works!
    Of course it works...in theory.

Aah! Real Monsters Seasons 1-3 are available on Netflix Streaming along with Rocko's Modern Life Season 1. I know I can watch them from videos online, but being able to watch the better quality versions on the big screen while chillaxin on the couch makes it very nice.

All I need now is some Doug (Nickelodeon episodes only) to be on Netflix Streaming and I'll be set.

Edit: I just found Hey! Arnold on there. I'll have to start looking under Nickelodeon.

  • The Konami Code works on Newsweek.com :)
I won't spoil the result, but I think you'll be amused...
  • Hmm.. except now I can't get it to work.. Did they fix it?
If so, you can see what it used to look like here
  • I want an RX-87 really badly.
    I fixed that for you.
  • Saw Jonathan Coulton in Columbus Circle this weekend. He just walked through, my friend yelled "JoCo," he turned, waved, and walked off. Well.
  • I fixed that for you.
Eh, I'd rather an RX-7, because it's nostalgic for me, but if I wanted the outright better car, I'd get the eight.
