  • EDIT: Also, people who wear sweatshirts under tshirts should be rounded up and executed.
And those who wear socks with sandals.
  • I think we obviously need mandatory haircuts for men. Long-haired men are obviously evil.

That'd kill most of our tourists! Who would buy our overpriced nicknacks with them gone?!

Is that seriously a thing people do?
    Yes. In elementary school.
Never seen anyone over 12 do that.

    Oh yeah. This thing, right?

I was thinking like a really bulky sweatshirt/hoodie type deal and couldn't imagine it.

  • My high school's marching band was pretty big. This is a shot I pulled out of some old video I acquired from 1996. We're the band on the far right.

Those don't look like sweatshirts. They are just long sleeve shirts. That's totally acceptable. I do it all the time. I mean, I wouldn't wear it to work, but sometimes I get fucking cold and need an extra layer but not as heavy as a sweater.

  • Sometimes they just sew on those long sleeves inside the short sleeves to make it look like a long sleeve shirt under the t shirt.
  • Ah, so the horrible thing I couldn't fathom is actually what you were referring to.

That's dumb. Just wear a long sleeve shirt if you only need one layer. But whatever floats your boat, I guess.
  • I used to wear long-sleeve thermals in England, with a shirt over the top. Mostly because that was pretty much all I had, in terms of cold-weather gear that wasn't a jacket. The entire inventory beyond that only added up to a leather jacket, a rain jacket, a scarf and some black leather gloves in year 2.
  • Ha ha!

A local performance of my high school's marching band from 1996! This was more than 16 years ago!

It wasn't the best performance, but it was the best video I could extract of any performance for that year.
  • Ramirez is a fucking hack and shit stain. Here, have some more of his hard hitting truths:

Don't worry though, he is also a fan of international art styles:

    And the rare non-debt cartoon:

Now to cleanse your palette, here is an improved couple of Ramirii:

Note that this man won two Pullitzers already. Two of them.
  • I actually don't mind Ramirez. He's at the O'Reilly level of reasonable, which is all I expect from major mainstream conservative figures. He's a moron when it comes to social issues, but I like his fiscal critique. It's not always right, but it's always well said (erm... drawn... but you know what I'm saying).
  • He's obscenely lazy, making the same point ad nauseum. It's not particularly clever, biting, or creative. Compare it to someone who has a nice art style and makes different points:

The point Ramirez has been making for the last several years pretty much boils down to: "Yes but did you know DEBT and OBAMA's SPENDING?" regardless of the context. While it is important to understand the debt, he shows no further critical analysis than that. Even among conservative pundits that's a lukewarm point to be harping on.
  • TotD at 16:27.
  • Patching holes in walls and fixing leaking plumbing. Sadly not sure the leak is fixed, just lessened at the moment. I see why it was fucked, it's really fucking hard to get back there and get a good connection with the shitty way the toilet is positioned.
  • I want to get a bunch of these and produce my own top gear segment. It's a cheap as chips keychain fob sized camcorder from china that records 720p to a microSD card. The video is pretty decent too.
  • My toilet has devoloped a leak that seems to be coming from the space between the tank and seat sections. Aside from taking it apart, which I know landlord won't let me do, I have no idea how to confirm/stop this.

  • Call the landlord then. Put towels/buckets under the leak for now.
  • Lots of people in CA have orange trees they are sick to the hind teeth of. I know two such houses..
I now have a hand juicer.

    FRESH ORANGE JUICE EVERY DAY.

The landlord is aware but off continent. It's not too bad as yet. I may just perform surgery for nothing more than curiosity. I've always been interested in toilet anatomy.

Amen, brother. I have 2 orange trees (small, but still) and a neighbor has an orange tree (huge), a lemon tree, and an avocado tree. It's pretty sweet.

  • They're a tax deduction, I think.
  • My grandparents have orange and lemon trees, and it's hilarious hearing them complain about them. "Oh no, I have a thing that sits in my yard that I only have to water once every few days but magically produces FRESH ORANGE JUICE ALMOST YEAR ROUND."
  • Got rid of my Facebook account. A decision long time coming, considering all of the drama that goes on there amongst my old high school peers. I went from poster to lurker about a year ago; now, I just stopped caring altogether and decided to make it final. Most of my actual friends (all nerdy) pretty much never visit anyways, so no harm.

I'd much rather start spending my time here and other places than swath on Facebook without participating. Twitter has less bullshit built in so that's my only "social media" outlet of choice currently.

Also, turning 19 in about a week!

tl;dr-Deleted Facebook, birthday, feels good man.
