Has anyone heard anything about Torchwood coming back?
It's definitely coming back, as confirmed by John Barrowman himself. Russell T. Davies liked the five-part series and thinks that's the direction Torchwood should go in the future. That's pretty much all we know for now.
I heard they are suppose to start production late on January. I wonder if Jack will bring the special pick me up present that the Doctor left him :P Was anyone suprised at the kind of "reward" that the Doctor got, specially when it came to Martha and Micky.

Not really, but I have never liked either character. I was bummed that he couldn'tfix Donna's memory.
I was surprised that he saved them, he knew what was going to happen to them and he changed their future. Then again, he had nothing to lose since he was already on his way out. I read that Russel T. Davis is very pleased with the Amy Pond character, I am too if only because the actress is very cute. Am sure the last special was not the last we have seen of Donna. Also, what is up with the Dalek from the preview? It looked kind of different. Though I liked how the Doctor used a mallet take care of him. I also read the Moffat is not thinking on bringing the classic Dr. Who villains (Daleks or Cybermen). I have watched "The Curse of the Fenric" and "The Three Doctors" (on netflix), I would very much like them to bring "Omega" or "Fenric" from wherever they are

Good! I liked what I seen of it. Plus, I like Jack!
I'm finally catching up for four years of neglect to one of my most favorite series in the entire world. To give you an idea of how far I'm behind, currently I'm watching Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel. Other than seeing a couple of episodes from later series, I've got a lot to catch up with. For me, one of the biggest enjoyments I get is seeing many things from the old series that I grew up with getting mentioned here and there. The presence of Sarah Jane Smith was the biggest enjoyment I have so far because it's a thrill to see one of the Doctor's most famous companions back in the show (and from what I hear her own show).

How old are you dude? I mean to remember Sarah Jane Smith, that is really something?
I have high confidence in the new doctor. Keep in mind, David T. was the "new doctor" at one point. The casting people seem to be know what they are doing.

I know, but it so hard to remember that when 10th was so awesome. (and hot!)
Is anyone else scared of those weeping angels? they're coming back according to the trailer. Blink was a great episode, but I really hate those things. They are too scary!

I used to watch the old Doctor Who series on PBS since I was 7 years old and I had seen a lot of it.

They are indeed freaky and terrifying. However I argue that Vasha Nerada are even more frightening. I can't even go downstairs or anywhere in the dark anymore without a flashlight because they haunted my nightmares for a while. I remember showing my mother Blink as her first episode and she really enjoyed it. It was followed shortly thereafter by The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances. Those two episodes cemented my mother's fandom of the show.
I recently purchased the Doctor Who Adventures in Time and Space RPG. You get a box with a bunch of stuff in it, normally retailing for $60, but amazon.com has it for only $37 before shipping. I can't say anything about how the game runs since I haven't run a game yet, but I have a friend of mine who is a fan of the show and would love to play a companion to The Doctor. Below is a link to the amazon.com page where I bought it so you can see all of the contents. I'll answer questions you have about it since I've read over the materials, but keep in mind I haven't actually played it yet.
Planning to run the game over the weekend with a bunch of friends that are Doctor Who fans of the Doctor Who RPG. Will let you all know how it turns out.
I'm watching all of the Tenth Doctor right now, having skipped the Ninth (Eccleson, not my cup of tea). I just finished "Rise of the Cybermen" and "Age of Steel," and I have never seen a more disturbing choice of soundtrack than Rise's use of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." Goddamn.
Oh mans, Dalek Sec is one badass motherfucker. "We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! You are superior in one respect--You are better at dying."
Um....Has anyone else noticed that what happened at the end of "Flesh and stone" (5th ep, new doctor) is pretty much the textbook definition of sexual assault? Creeped me out like a mofo.
