    Elfen Lied is good if you like bloody violence and cute pink haired chicks. It does get dark...very dark. It has a lot of disturbing scenes and small storylines. Thus an acquired taste of anime. Worth the watch IMO, but beware.

    I haven't seen Lain but Haibane Renmei is awesome.
