I loved how the new girl thought Kevin was mentally disabled. Saying things like "You drive your own car!," and doing things like helping him buy something from the vending machine.

  • I don't think it is such a stretch to find similar characters in real life like those being portrayed in The Office. I work in a software place and it is riddled with unlikeable characters that you'd think could only be invented for sitcoms. It is funny though my ex-brother in law used to ridicule David Brent's obnoxious behaviour and yet he himself shared many of the character traits that made Brent so despicable at times. It makes you wonder if there are any characters that you are laughing at which are actually close approximations of yourself.
I agree, there are a lot of unlikeable people in real life. I just don't feel compelled to watch them. I need something to empathize with. That is just my personal taste and I recognize that Seinfeld was/is a very popular show, so my taste is probably not the norm on this point.

That's what Jim and Pam are for.

Jim and Pam are just a cock-tease.
  • The look on Pam and Angela's faces while Michael was going on about his anti-gravity room and such were just priceless!

There is a ton of visual comedy in that show.

The way that Pam pretends to take all of Michael's requests so seriously is the best part of the show. Also, Mose.

  • I was disappointed with the finale. While I enjoyed it, I really wish Andy hadn't proposed to Angela thus stopping Jim from proposing. I feel that now we'll have a heart broken Pam who finds new love in New York.

    For once, we agree.

Nah, I'm going to have to disagree with you. If Jim had proposed to Pam in the finale, THAT would have disappointed me, since absolutely everyone expected it.
  • This season has really been a let-down (or at least since the strike)... the season finale was good and best episode in awhile. Jim-Pam has gotten dull now they're together so yeah, please have some conflict with them and revive the chase. Can't remember a best, but worse episode was the house tour of Michael and Jan... OMG I couldn't stand the entire episode, it was just so painful.

Painful in the way that The Office is supposed to be? Or just bad?

    Bad-Bad...

Yet again, I'll have to disagree with you.

Jan is hot, but I like the idea that Michael can find a girl without worrying about social disconnection. Michael - Toby + New Girl = Hilarious lawsuits next season?

Also, hooray for Dwight. Go get 'er, tiger.

Am I the only one that really likes Andy?

I want HIM to break up with Angela.

Maybe, do you like him like him?

  • Anyone catch the SNL Digital Short last night? Japanese Office... This has to be the best of the non-musical Digital Shorts.
