I wouldn't count John McCain out just yet.
  • Off-topic and it may just be me, but am I the only one who thinks Emily sounds like a funny and laid back Canadian?
  • Also, do you have any recommendations for books in regards to the theory side of things?
(recommended before) John Williams, The Animators Survival Kit. I have it on my desk. Also, for facial modeling Jason Osipa, Stop Staring is a great guide for facial layout and animation.

A stonker of a book. One of the first things I got told to get when I started animaiton. An that Unity engine looks really good... What scripting does it use?

Unity uses Mono, the open-source implementation of the .NET framework. It therefore supports several languages (Javascript, C#, Boo) with access to the same libraries. A nice advantage of this is that you have access to all the features of the framework, if you need them.
  • celtx is awesome ... just tried it out and it's just what I wanted.

props to gomidog and whoever made celtx ... they must have a lot of time on their hands, and good thing too :)

Lots of people tell me that. My folks are Yoopers, (Which, let's be honest, makes you pretty much Canadian) so that might have something to do with the way I pronounce stuff.

What the hell is a Yooper? ._.

A native or inhabitant of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The accent is said to have been influenced by the many Scandinavian immigrants who settled there, presumably because they found the climate somewhat similar to the bitter Nordic Winters. (Actually, no. It had more to do with copper mining)Yoopers, Eh.

I, however, grew up in NY.

Yoopers (U.P.ers) live above the Mackinac Bridge. The people in the rest of the state are "Trolls" because they live below it. Rym is a troll both in Michigan and on Fark.

Ooh yum... I'll have a play around with the trial and see what it can do.
