Has anybody found out how many buildings there are, total? My town only has space for 11 regular, 2 ports, and the one wall. I assume this is the same for everybody.

I would hope that is room enough for every building. If it isn't, you always have the option of demolishing a building. Also, if there are more than that many buildings, you can take over additional towns, and arrange the buildings differently over there.

Yes, it's the same for everybody. Nothing special about your lay out. As for the number of buildings, check the help.
EDIT: Also, moved the Academy to the left hill, looks better. You do get some wood back for deconstructing a level, but not all, however the research points are kept. I also build a Warehouse and upped it to lvl 2 to protect 190 wood. Then some idiot attacked me with I guess 2 Slingers judging from the stats and stole one whole gold coin. Now focused my research on military, which quickly resulted in the first two stages being discovered and them researching Wealth, again.
An army from Ben Town has attacked and pillaged your town Kresesca. You were looted:
* Gold: 1
THIS MEANS WAR BEN TOWN! Or well, Phalanxes behind my wall. And to upgrade the wall and academy I need rocks and crystal, so anyone has a trading port ready or something? Have yet to look fully into all the trading stuff.
This game is just WoW with fewer stats and walk-away grinding -- plus no real exploration.
I'm beginning to think this more and more. I think it is tricky because it looks a lot like civilization, but there is none of the strategy of civilization. They need to have more danger. If you play a Civ game with little to no chance of failure, it is just a grind through the tech tree and production.

The only reason is because you are too low level to pose a threat to anyone. Wait till you get a massive fleet and start attack cities...

I'm on Ruisiios[96:59] in the city of Polis.
That great duty was forced upon me, but I will do it as best I can.
