Wrong. It's Sgt. Pepper first, White Album second, and Rubber Soul third. This is the correct ordering based on impact on the music world. The White Album is my favorite, however.
Revolver was more important than White Album and Rubber Soul. Rolling Stone agrees.
Rolling Stone also said that "Like A Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan was the greatest song of all time(surprise surprise), and came up with this horribly skewed list of the "Greatest Guitarists of All Time". I mean, Kurt Cobain as number 12? Puh-leeez. He should have at least twice that score.

The Rolling Stone bit was a joke. I should have made that more obvious. Nonetheless, Revolver is incredibly important. Most White Album tracks can be traced back to a Revolver tune. Would we ever have Revolution 9 without Tomorrow Never Knows, perhaps the most important Beatles song after A Day In the Life?

Just because something comes as the result of something else does not make the original thing superior. Revolver was underdeveloped and The White Album was the full realization of the concept, so to speak.

It is weird. My father is a musician and knows more about music from that era than anyone I have ever encountered, but he is not a Beatles fan. He certainly respects John Lennon's song-writing and George Harrison's music ability, but he isn't a fan. Just kinda weird. ^_^
My family jut got the Remastered Stereo "Collectors Edition" for my father's birthday. I gotta say that the money spent on it was well worth it. If only because every time that I listen to this songs I find something new on them. All my loving goes to this set!
I'm of the opinion that anyone who enjoys or plays music, especially rock genres, owes something toWolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Funny you should mention that. I'm a fan of The Beatles, Mozart, andPythagoras.
Oh, and Rubber Soul uber alles.
Rubber soul is the best thing that ever happened to the Beatles. It symbolizes their true evolution.
Rubber Soul is the only album released pretty much ever in which I can't think of a song that I don't like. Rubber Soul is like this perfect album. And rarely do you hear any songs from it.
I think when I was around 12-13 I listen to some of my brother's old CDs and remember listening to The Beatles and enjoying it, even if it was a bit odd due to their lyrics. (Sgt Peppers mostly) But now, I really appreciate and understand The Beatles for who they were and what they did and their impact on music.
