  • PERFECT. Now go walk across the death valley to get the look just right.
Canada is in lack of death valleys, also sun light.

Plenty of championship-winning hockey players though.

Too bad they were all on the Bruins.

    Hell yeah! Bruins!

Alright, I think I've got it all out of my system.

    Wooooo!!!!! BRUINS!!!

Okay, that was the last of it. I'm sure now.

Who knows? Central BC is a pretty strange place. Also, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a death valley in Nunavut or the Northwest Territories.
  • My Pokeflute, let me show you it.

Hopefully I can work my impression of Postal Dude up to the point of getting the cruel dude act all sexy like.

I will have no problem with Protoman, I have waited a few years in hopes that I could get a better build and to grow my bangs for the awesome lighting bolt pompadour.
  • Yeah... For Halloween last year I cosplayed as L... unfortunately, I had my hair recently cut, so I looked nothing like him, however, I did make a little child cry from my acting. That was also the first time I have worn eyeliner, makeup, and hair spraypaint

  • I hope you don't look like box with a red x in it.

Oh man. The nostalgia is strong.

I'm a big fan of the concept cosplay, such as Jewish Woflwood, or this un-googlable guy:

My con cosplays haven't been terribly impressive, I think my best was:

    (I'm Vicious)
I won't deny my prior cosplays, but I don't have them locally, and they haven't been uploaded to the Family Geeks facebook page yet.

My Halloween costumes however, are better. In '09 I was some government entity (I still don't know which) with a bag saying "7 Billion Dollar Bailout or Treat." Sadly, this wasn't photographed. 2010's was though.

    It was an election year.

EDIT: This con cosplay I am proud of, though I don't usually think of it as cosplay.
    Here's what I was wearing:

  • Those Blizzcon cosplays are very well done.

    This cosplay pop, pop, POPS!

According to a tweet of someone I follow, there was a Ruby Rhod cosplay at NYCC. May or may not have been the same guy. Either way, I approve. There are always tons of Leeloo cosplays. Too much multipass. I'd like to see a Diva Plavalaguna cosplay. I see a couple on Google image search, but I've never seen one in person.

That's me as Professor Oak just in case the labcoat, grey hair, and pokeball wasn't a tip-off.

    "Wonderful!"
  • Animazement just ended, it's officially summer con times, no one else has done this, so you know what that means.
    I'M BRINGING SEXY BACK.

First of all, you look great Katie.

Secondly, forgot to post this here after Tora-Con in April:

(No, I'm not holding my mask on to my face, though I did have to hold it up to stop it from slumping onto my nose uncomfortably)

Katie, you need to invade the shores of ConnectiCon someday. You would go over SO well here, especially considering that our con is much smaller and has less fatal problems than the pigheaded, stupidly popular Otakon.

  • Okay, Halloween is coming up and I feel like this thread would be appropriate because the outfits I like to wear could double as cosplay opportunities.

I'm hoping to cosplay as Muscle Man from Regular Show, but easily the two big issues come with coloration. (I already have the clothes and physique) Does anyone have any good recommendations for skin paint or what products I should use to get his color? And I'm also hoping to find some type of minor hair dye so I can have his olive-colored hair. (My hair is naturally brown, so it can meld pretty nicely to match with the character)

I'll take the closest and if anyone could talk about their experience to cosplaying to this degree. Thanks!
  • God, I'm getting old enough (or have been old enough for long enough), that I feel like about the only thing I could ever cosplay as would be a character wearing some sort of full covering body armor. Okay, I did cosplay as Captain Nemo from Nadia a few years back as my first and, so far, only cosplay. I could still probably pull it off as Captain Nemo is an older character. However, no cosplaying as teenagers for me.
