Yeah. It says "wonder" on it. Kinda hard to tell, though.

    I see it now.

You know, I thought this thread was messed up when I saw slash fiction, but I think that pales in comparison to little girl soldiers. UGH!

As for parallel dimensions, I need only say this: Why do we care? What difference, really, would it make? The chances of intelligent life being elsewhere in the universe is small. It would be the same for any alternate universe.

You, sir, are a spoil sport. We talk about it because, well, it's fun to talk about. Like Dragons, or Science Fiction aliens, or that sort of thing.

    Besides, I like Toaster Tan.

I'm not trying to be a spoil sport. I know this is only a thought exercise, but there are people I know who take this stuff way too seriously. And besides, I was answering this question:
What do you guys think of the idea of infinite parallel universes?

I have that screen saver and my blog's theme is based on it.

  • 2k-tan is undeniably amongst the top tier of OS-tans. Can you tell who my avatar is?

Sometime soon, my OS-tans, let me show you them.

Holy crap, best depiction of a toaster ever. Some minor nitpicking is possible, but those are merely preferences in girls. As for the wings, Nine lack any artsy arts knowledge, so old school? Eh?

Bottom line, toasted bread = heavenly indeed.

@ Sonic, 98-tan has darker hair than 98SE-tan, right? And 98-tan in that case.
Can you tell who my avatar is?
Looks like a chibi male bratty version of 2k-tan mixed with... Edgeworth?

Edit: I wonder how she would toast bread though o.o...

  • The whole "tan" thing is a bit scary to me, mostly because some people get too into it, but I definitely think that one is cute!

    Go go Rule 63!
  • I'd have a *Fujoshi Nosebleed* except for the fact that they aren't macs. All the Mac Kuns I see are all buff, not bishi, except poor Shota Leopard.
  • I think XP is the most Bishounen of them all.

    There are mac-kuns!? O.o

See, with macs its kinda tricky. There is a Mac OS-tan, which represents all modern macs in all versions, but then there are individual OS-tans for each version of the Mac OS.
Seen below from left to right: OS X (general), OS 9, OS X 10.4 (tiger)

If you want to read some sad stories about a few of the OS-tans, check out these links. Its the backstories of Apple Lisa-tan, Windows 1.0-tan, and Windows 2.0-tan.

  • Katu's a fan of the male OS-tans too, eh?

I mean, whatever floats your boat. I'm not judging.

    Pervert.
  • Now I am the one that needs a brain scrub. Sonic's porn-tastic submission really made me uncomfortable... what is with the overt sexuality of girls that look so young?
  • edited July 2008
I know theres that "Troubled Windows" Fake anime intro, But seriously, an anime should be done about OS-Tans.
    EDIT:

OS 10.4 is the only one that looks really young. And as for the overt sexuality...
Look, what demographic makes/consumes these images? For the most part its guys who are obsessed with technology and have watched a good share of Shirow-tastic animes. The time-line ain't that hard to follow.

From parallel universes to ScottxScott slash to OS-Tans....

WHY DIDN'T I READ THIS THREAD SOONER!

Anyway, I wish the parallel universes were real. Except mine would be this mousey shy business girl. Or maybe a bitchy control freak? Being that I'm a bit of a narcy I'd so do myself.

    Edit: Cute toaster-tan

All those girls look pretty young. I get that it has its appeal for some people, but it turns my stomach. Just a personal taste issue.
  • Is it me, or does the front-most male Mac-tan look vaugely like post-timeskip Simon?
  • There's the Trouble Windows doujin that was published by Deja Vu Artworks, but they were denounced quite strongly by Futaba because of copyright disputes.
  • Trouble Windows
Those two words just go so well together.
