Either 16% of Americans don't know what "homosexual" means or the New York Times and CBS don't know how to properly poll.

    EDIT:
I also have to add this video I just came across. I warn you that the stupidity starts out with a ridiculously bad song.

  • Rowlings accused of plagiarizing Potter.
I can't believe this case even has any merit. While some may not be fans of her writing, or question the quality of it, the excerpts from the Willie the Wizard books sound like they were written by a fifteen year old. No wonder he was never published.

imageBook of Magic would like to have a word with you.
  • All I know is that I will be paying for it...
Not unless you're planning to move to Australia.
  • So we've seen life-size anime girl pillows for the lonely otaku, now there are life-size Twilight pillows for the lonely Bella Swans of the world.

I've seen them at anime expo. There was a booth full of them. The only thing funnier is watching awkward otaku pretending to to be looking at something else while looking at the selection of body pillows from out of the corner of their eyes. XD You'd think they were in a porno shop or something!

Before all of humanity has locked themselves up in their houses, orders blow up dolls via the internet that get delivered by robot and thus results in the extinction of man?

Good - School issues laptops with webcams to students, for free.

Bad - School then uses laptops with webcams to spy on students at home.

Extra fail - Issue comes to light because a child was diciplined for "improper behavior in his home" - with a photo of this from the webcam used for evidence.

    And here's the story.

Well that's pretty fucking fucked up right there.

All of my hours spent watching Law and Order: SVU are making me think of the potential kiddie porn aspect of this. Even if they say its to monitor whether they are "behaving," you know there's gotta be at least one of them watching the young girls undressing in their rooms... not to mention the guys wacking off to porn. In fact, I wonder what the "improper behavior" was...

This reminds me of when I used to live in the dorms. My roomie liked to chat with her bf with her webcam, and I noticed one night that she had left it on while she wasn't there. (I saw myself move across her screen and promptly freaked out). Hopefully I wasn't being watched... >_>

My aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and starts her chemotherapy tomorrow. The worse thing about it is that she has already survived lung cancer a few years ago and now she has cancer again.

  • I've been watching the news today and have noticed several levels of political fail:
    - Local news is reporting that Americans are getting fed up with Democrats already, ignoring the fact that it's been Republicans playing the obstructionist game that is causing things to lag.
    - Republicans are getting arrogant already, claiming Obama is a one-term president, and already calling for a sweep in the next election like the one they had in the 90's.
    - The Tea Party is gathering steam, claiming that the Republicans aren't conservative enough and removing a large base from the Republican's.

I really don't know what to make of this. As annoyed as I am that reforms have stalled, and recognizing that while the Repub's are mostly at fault, the blue dogs didn't exactly help any. However, I am more afraid of the Tea Party actually getting a candidate into office than anything else. I feel pretty confident that the T.P.'s racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, anti-immigrant, "If you're not white, straight, and christian you can get the fuck out of here" attitude will shine through again and prevent any of them getting elected. I still have great concerns for the political state of this country.

Also, as a bonus, this side-switchin', girlfriend stabbin' douchebag is still trying to worm his way back into the New York State Assembly, saying he was denied due process when the entire assembly (except eight other side-switchin' scum) voted his ass out.

Here is the deal. You want a ultra conservative party to form and for them to field a candidates if you want the democrats to continue to win. This will split the conservative vote and allow the democrats an easy victory. (Look at NY-23 as an example of this).

Yes, this really is the best thing that could happen. They don't call it a 2 party system for nothing.

    When does it expire?
  • Beginning of May.

Well you have some time still. Have fun moving. ^_~
  • You can't renew your lease or you do not want to renew your lease?

Not terribly interested in renewing my lease. I only live here to walk to work and they're moving my office late summer early fall. The rates are increasing 10% for a 12 month. The most I want is another 6 months and that's just a silly amount of money, like almost worth it to just go month to month. For that amount of money I'd rather get a town house with a small garage.

  • The local tax office is full to the brim with bible quotes and other Christian propaganda. Not to mention, every clerk is upfront with their religion. Oh joy.
  • 1/4 of the towns internet connection has gone down including mine. Writing this with my iphone's 3g network connection.

Don't worry I'm sure it's not because the aliens or Chinese have invaded.
