My bank (Chase) just told Amazon to go fuck themselves, apparently. They disputed all the charges Amazon has made for things I ordered from the last two months, and don't seem to have a record of these transactions at all now. :-/
EDIT: Apparently the catalyst was that Verizon charged me for my phone bill. Which I autopay every month. For the same amount. Which is apparently suspicious behavior to Chase's fraud department.
I hope you're not using a debit card for all these things. :P
Not as much protection against fraud. More pain in the ass if you have problems.
Credit cards provide better protection and also serve as a buffer between the card and your actual money.
If my credit card has a problem and I can't use it, I still have access to cash from ATMs. If my bank account/debit card has a problem, I can't do basic things like pay bills or write checks.
What Rym said, if my credit card gets fucked up, no big deal. It's not real money until they issue me a statement. Try getting your money back in your account after someone steals your debit card info. It can be done, but it takes time and much more effort.
In regards to fraud protection, I generally haven't had any trouble with Chase. The only issue is that if my card is stolen (the number got swiped a few months ago) I have to physically go to a bank if I need more monies.
Then again, I can pretty much rely on my phone (paypal + square) for most purchases in NYC. I found this out yesterday when I forgot my wallet at home. The only thing limiting me is really paying for a metrocard, but I'm debating just getting an auto-renewing one now that I'm going into the office every day.
EDIT: I made some dumb financial decisions when I was younger and had a spat of bad luck (turns out the company Kodak outsources their payroll to is nigh-incompetent), so my credit is pretty terrible. I imagine I'll get an actual credit card eventually.
Oral surgeon bruised a nerve taking one of my wisdom teeth out on Monday. I can barely feel part of my lower lip and a few teeth. He's told me that it can take six weeks or more to heal. I just want to feel my face again.
More bullshit with my college not telling me requirements or what has changed within my major that I need to fill out. I'm following the General Requirements from Year 2009-2010 and WRTC from 2011-2012. The rules, as written on my transcript, should still apply as advisors have told me I CAN STILL GRADUATE THROUGH THESE METHODS.
This is just retarded. I want to graduate, I'm motivated to have a job and write, but it feels like the 4-year system continuously wants to drag my ass out. I've been in higher education for too long...

I've had the same thing pulled on me by my professor before I left college, just schedule a meeting with the dean, bring your research and transcripts, explain it out and they will be able to help you out.
BLS's approach to everything regarding colleges. I don't want help from them. They specifically don't have anything to offer me that I can't get from elsewhere in my world. Please stop trying to control my whole application process, BLS, I'll take care of it on my own.
Switching mobile carriers at the same time as being offered a phone interview for a new job and since the industry is in the stone age the employer doesn't use Skype.

I recently switched credit unions and they issued me my debit card the same day and assigned my own PIN. That's awesome.

Sometimes, I don't know why I even try.
Update though the sim card registered today, saved, will have to remember Google voice in the future.
