This little guy was camping in my back yard. It almost makes me wish I owned a firearm. Sorry about the fuzziness. I didn't have much time to get him in my sights before he bolted.
I might as well go all the way with the poor quality. Here's a cruddy cell phone picture I snapped in a hurry. She's beautiful, ain't she? And the bitch isn't bad, either.
Gasp! Rain! I kinda miss rain. I'm sure it will happen soon here.
Ditto. It hasn't rained here in months.
It has been the 4th wettest July on record here(12.8"). So we've gotten our fair share of rain. Also my phone takes some decent photos. Downtown/Medical Center/Rice:
EDIT: might as well add the first links here, click the link above for the thumbnails.
Many people on Facebook and elsewhere are asking for full resolution versions of my EJC photos. The best way to view the photos quickly is by using Facebook, as that way you can see who is tagged in each photo. The other way is to go to each individual blog post, and scroll through them all in a suitable size.
Finally, a thumbnail of every photo is posted below. Only these thumbnails link to the full size files, not the other images on my blog or Facebook. If you see a photo on facebook or the blog posts you like, find it here to download the original. Alternatively, here is the entire list of every photo.
Not my style*, but that's no insult, I'll attest that she's gorgeous. *- Married is not my style. I might be a bastard, but I'm not a fucking bastard, to slightly paraphrase my usual version.
I find the basis for their conclusions to be highly dubious. I question their assumptions. Just take the sex questions. They "found" that "iPhone users have more sex" when in fact all they found is that by age 30 they had had more sexual partners. I'm monogamous at 30 and have a lot of sex. Also, the controls don't seem to account for composition. Look at the question that allows you to examine phone, point-and-shoot, and SLR shots of the same girl. If she were in identical positions and settings and conditions for all three photos, the output would be controlled. As it is, viewers have an opportunity to react differently to composition, clothing, angles, body posture, hair styles, lighting, environment, etc. As for the flash adding seven years, a flash on a monochrome image of Merciless Ming is certainly different than a soft white flash on a color image of, let's say, Claudia Schiffer, which would reduce the appearance of aging.
If you think this blog post is meant to be scientific, think again. It's a fun advert for a website. That is all. Thinking about it that way means that a lot of the "conclusions" make sense, as a way to boost viral marketing mojo.
I found it quite entertaining, and if I didn't already know that flashless, wide aperture photos make for better portraits, I could find it educational too.

On that note, for the Flickrians among us, I'll set up a Geeknights group.

Anyway, my post was a "yay me" kinda thing, without any new photos in it.
