And I'll keep buying them until something better comes along.

Edit: When Okami came out and people were like "Pfft.. Zelda clone." I was like "That should be a genre! Not an insult!".

  • Methinks I found out who sucked at Goldeneye back in the day. :P
No, actually I did okay at it, but I didn't really see the point to it when there were better FPS games on the PC that were infinitely more fun to play. ;p
  • Epic Mickey looks pretty awesome.
  • 3ds+MGS:3=my wallet crying

  • That is the most exciting thing on the 3DS, in my opinion. I've been begging for a new Star Fox for like, ever. This isn't totally new, but Star Fox 64 is worth buying again with this. There better be more than just better graphics, though.
  • It's a re-make of Starfox 64. Now all we need is Smash brothers and it'll be like old times.

Ah shit. If there were 3D Smash Bros. on 3DS, I would buy one on launch day. That shit would own @ every convention.

I'm really surprised that there hasn't been a portable Smash Bros. yet. Does Nintendo not want to make more money?

I personally guarantee that they will make more money from Wii Party than they would make from 3DS Smash Bros.
  • The only thing to make this perfect would be an announcement for Elite Beat Agents 2...

At first I was all like, "3DS, fuck that shit."
    Then I saw Starfox.
Then, my wallet did a barrel roll.

Also, DS slot confirmed for 3DS. So I've also budgeted money aside for a 3DS-compatible flashcard.

  • Holy shit. 3D version of Ocarina of Time? On a DS? I'm getting that.
  • I have to say, I really don't believe in "3D" (really, 2.5D) gaming. It's a gimmick and I hate it. However, if there's one company that can do it right, it's Nintendo.
  • HOLY FUCK SSFIV 3D EDITION ON 3DS.

    There goes all my money.
  • 3DS is apparently 10% smaller than the DS Lite. Technology's come some way, hasn't it.

Oh no my poor over-sized hands ;-p

There's no way that can be good.

Now I'm beginning to worry the 3DS is going to be so awesome at launch that it's not going to have enough to keep this kind of momentum going.

And you may be able to install games to the 3D's memory.

I doubt it will curb piracy as much as, say, bringing prices down to realistic levels, but it's a nice start.

This makes sense because they were talking about the 3DS being asleep, but still wirelessly connecting to other 3DSes in the vicinity, even if you didn't have that game intalled. I imagine if you have Pokemons, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, etc. all installed and you walk around a convention, you will see a huge pile of goodies when you turn the shit back on.

I figure you will install some kind of "Tag Mode" app to your 3DS and that will collect this data for you. I don't think you'll install the whole game, just the program that lets you collect stuff from other people who have the "Tag Mode" as well.

I imagine your save game data will also be on the 3DS, for games that are coded to do so. This will solve the problem of going to the store and buying a used copy of Pokemon where all the Pokemon are named "PENIS."

Yeah, and we'll start getting memory cards for the 3DS' SD slot, because otherwise I will still never use the SD card slot.

And having had a cartridge with a ton of save data stolen from me in the past, I'd much appreciate this.

It won't solve that problem at all. In fact, it will be worse because if your DS is stole you will lose all save data for all games.
  • They should let you sync your DS with your computer to back up save files.
  • Is it sad that the ability to turn off the 3D is what sold me on the 3DS? Given that I'd just be using it to replace my old DS Lite when it finally gives out. Though the 3D camera will be useful for convincing my dad that we are in fact living in the future...

    You mean like the DexDrive?
