Terrible, while i get where they are coming from, either I have sinked too much of my time into creating for this fandom and have come to view it more personally, or because I never did saw MLP as a female stereotype, this rubs me all the wrong ways to hear this.
Although the whole Cloppers thing...the stigma will never ever go away i feel. Its going to be the yardstick everyone judges the show and the community from now, Its just too bad. *sigh*. Again as someone from the beginning of the fandom and a creative person who contributes, its just hurts me pretty bad. At least the creative fanbase can continue what it does best and continually try to push back the stereotype and media portrayals.
The line that really got me was: If you dont acknowledge that you watching this show is wierd, you are fucked up. Hypocrites to the end...
Yeah, it's kinda sad, but all we can do is keep being normal people and making fan-works. And I don't have a problem with that.
I think they got a bad experience from it at first (Leon is an avid listener of Howard Stern which is wear the "Clopper" thing was really broadcasted). But Bronies became a subject for a good two weeks on Spill, but it ended in a really positive way when they brought a local brony on the show, talked with him, and had a really understanding talk about everything that happened and the evolution of the show.
It was only a pain because he told the detailed story about cloppers at BroNYCon about 3 times over the week over 3 different podcasts. As a fan of Spill, I saw the progression throughout the whole thing, but it did peak at one point. However, most of the bronies who are fans of the website were mostly laughing about it or going "Yeah, we like MLP but we aren't furries like those people."
I think some people on the website were stirring the pot on the issue, but most people were cool about the topic and it passed by. (Except for some people who were completely ignorant on both sides, maybe being about 10% of the comments)
And on another subject, Korey has dealt with a major furry on one rather amazing story-

It'll be interesting if Rym/Scott could review this on one of the game shows they do :P. Im going to try this out with friends myself.
Anyway:
I laughed... for a loooong time. The fandom can be quite an isolated thing, so it's nice to be brought back see the fandom from the outside.
