If I want to refer to a British ship with the designation HMS by the long form of the acronym, do I use the gender pronoun of the monarch in power during the time the ship was in service or the gender pronoun of the current monarch?
My intuition suggests you would use the appropriate pronoun for the monarch during the temporal context in which you refer to the ship.
Yep. For example, when you speak about ships from WW2, they are His Majesty's ship, and from 1952 onward, it's always Her Majesty's Ship.
Also, there are other letters added for nations other than England - For example, Australian ships wear the abbreviation HMAS, New Zealand is HMNZS, Canada is HMCS, and so on.
Why do modem switches last for a max of 12 months to a year? I've been through 3 different branded devices over the last 2 years where as the simple Belkin before these last 3 was active for 3-4 years.
I've had an old Linksys WRT54GL for the last two and a half years and it's been pretty good, aside from the occasional instance of it inexplicably factory-resetting itself. I'd get something faster nowadays though.

That's happened to me before. Your local router is probably directing you through a proxy that's not forwarding certs properly, so it's making it look like you're getting certificates from the wrong domain. There's not that much you can do, unfortunately.
I have a friend going through a horrible relationship breakup. About 6 months ago, someone from her S/O's family gave my friend a car. Signed the title over to her and she registered the car in her name. Since then, she's sold her old car for scrap since it was a POS. Now the other family is demanding the car back or payment. Since they signed over the title and it's registered to my friend, is there anything they can legally do?

Thanks everyone, appreciate the comments. That's generally what my opinion was, but I wanted to run it by a group of smart people to see if there was anything I wasn't thinking of.
Why is Chrome telling me that Google's security certificate has been revoked?
EDIT: It's doing this with all https's. What's going on?
I had something similar when my system time was set wrong.
Reset system clock, still getting the error. Do I need to restart or something?
EDIT: restarted, reinstalled (which was significantly more complicated than it should've been), and re-restarted, and I'm still having trouble. What's going on?
EDIT: Opera isn't having trouble. That being said, Opera doesn't have any of my plug ins or bookmarks or shit, so I'd like to not have to switch to it.
Anyone still have a Viewsonic Gtablet and know a good ROM? I'm dusting off my old gtab so I can read some books since I broke my Nexus 7 and don't feel like spending money to replace it. I have some sort of honeycomb rom on it right now, but it's really slow and clunky. Something more stable would be nice.
I got mine for $80 at Guitar Center on sale. There are tons out there, just go shop around. I don't think there are many that are that decent under $50.
I think I'm going to pick up a $50 mic for now so that we can do a few trials and make a beta episode or two, and then after Christmas spending has past we'll probably start looking at $100+ models like the Yeti, and a pop filter, and so on.
I really appreciate the input, though. I don't like Google for things like this. Reviews are all well and good but I like testimonials from people I can interrogate.
I'm off to Google "cardiod" and "dynamic microphone"...

This is the same laptop that had that doge background, and Google Gravity homepage, though not the one with all the toolbars.

So far I've tried Netgear, Linksys, Billion and Belkin.
The Billion still works but I gave it to my parents (I think I bought that one for $240).
That said, I'm young.
