Upon further watching, definitely moving more towards Twilight Sparkle (Love the bits of sarcasm)
See, that's what I really like about the show. The ponies aren't sugary sweet saccharine piles of good feelings. Another good example is, in the Griffon the Brush Off episode, when Pinkie's treating Fluttershy like a little kid, and she says, a little acidly, "I'm a year older than you.". It's little things like that that make the characters seem like real characters, rather than just caricatures.

Yeah, it's lots of little things that are very quick and you might not even notice them. Like when the characters talk really fast, they are usually actually saying something meaningful. I don't know if kids notice it, but I wouldn't have if I were a kid. The best example is when they are all scared of the Everfree forest because the plants grow, the animals take care of themselves, and the clouds move all on their own!
And what kid would ever get this??? It's totally for us.
Twilight Sparkle: Take a note, please. To the princess. Spike: Okie dokie. Twilight Sparkle: My dearest teacher. My continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover, that we're on the precipice of disaster... Spike: Hold on. Preci... preci... Twilight Sparkle: Threshold. Spike: Thre... Twilight Sparkle: Uh, brink? Ugh! That something really bad is about to happen!
Despite your protests, the forum vote stands at 32-20. Voting reform has been called for, though. Maybe you Pinkie Pie supporters should try a revolution?
For the Fluttershy fans, I would just like to say I was re-watching the fourth episode, Applebuck Season, and if you pay attention, Fluttershy actually stares the apples out of the tree at the end of the episode. She's just looking at them, and they fall right in the basket. I don't know if she's my favorite pony, but episodes 16 and 17 did significantly raise my opinion of her.
Oh I'd totally want to see a updated poll. As much as I still like Applejack, she hasn't done anything of note recently. Plus Rainbow Dash straight up destroyed her at the personal challenges.

Aside, I started watching the show after listening to the podcast episode. Skeptical at first, but converted just as predicted by the podcast.
