Apart from some trouble I'm having with junctions, the rail line from Central Underground Station to Sanriko and Bamboo swamp is open for people transport. Going to wait for 1.6 before I try cargo transport.
Minecraft 1.6 will be released this week. Tertius will NOT update immediately. Do NOT choose to update your client, or you will not be able to play on the server. We will upgrade when a suitable Bukkit build is ready for 1.6.
Terraria has been pretty fun, but it doesn't take long to complete it (that is, kill all the bosses, unlock all the NPCs, do all the events, get all the magic items, get the best equipment), and there isn't too much to do after that. It goes even faster with more people.
What I think would be awesome to see is something like a server of 12-16 people, with fresh characters, on a Small map, divided into 4 teams, with PvP on. The griefing would be both fun and slow down the progression a bit. And racing to heart containers, floating islands, shadow pearls, and other limited resources would add some urgency.
I am bored as fuck with Minecraft. I've kept the server up and running for seven months, which I think is a good run. Interest has fallen steeply, with just a couple of people a day using it and rarely more than one at a time. Would anyone like to take the server/map to host?
There's no difference between single player and playing on a server other than the latter having other idiots running around punching trees and whathaveyous. So there shouldn't be a reason why you can't play it on a server.

Yeah, there is a considerable lag difference between single player and multiplayer. Lag on the server makes me almost unable to play on it.
I'm still interested in finishing my project, but just haven't had the time to work on it as much recently. It's absolutely something that I would go back to.
Based on the cost it seems like we would be able to rent a Minecraft server for less than $1 per person per month. We'd need to have someone set up the server though.
