I don't think most people think this is re-launching the old Reading Rainbow. I wouldn't want that anyhow, because that was formatted for TV. The app-based approach makes a hell of a lot more sense and allows for interactive learning, which is far superior to passive learning.
I am confident that the team can create an engaging package designed to encourage kids to read.
The randomness, however, is manageable randomness. Small deck with known quantities cycles. You can predict to a degree what an opponent may have available at a given time.
Oshi is a very apt comparison in terms of brainfeel.
I really wish Tokaido was released pre-PAX. Out of all the Kickstarters I've backed and have yet to deliver, I actually pay attention too. DAT. SHOGUN. ART.
I encourage you all to have a look at my buddys kickstarter. For those too lazy to click to look, he's attempting compile a cookbook of his grandfathers recipes. Edmund, his grandfather, was in the restaurant business for almost 70 years and ran his own place for over 50.
The man can seriously cook. I'm backing it as soon as I get paid again and I hope you guys can pitch in, too. If not, not biggie, and thanks for having the look!
Hurray! Now their stuff has a giant corporation backing them, with all of their material resources (chips, factories, distribution networks) and money to support them!

I advised him to not go on Kick starter since it did not have the meme juice you need but for a small goal it is fine. I'd suggest checking it out.
I don't think many people read the details of any campaign before throwing their money at it.

For $100 I will engrave your name on the catio.
For $200 I will let you design a toy for the catio (within safety specs).
Stretch goal: I will add a webcam of my cats in the catio!
Rym and Scott, should we back this Kickstarter? You have the inside scoop!
