https://kickstarter.com/projects/digitalmanga/tezukas-world-release-publishing-osamu-tezuka-mang This Kickstarter is off the hook, I've backed other products by digital Manage, but 750 for 31 volumes comes to be about 24 dollars a pop... You'd figure you'd get some sort of discount with that massive amount of manga.. Not sure why they didn't break this project up. I'd probably be interested in kickstarting one of these titles or two a year.

I can't understand the tiers. All I want is the manga. I don't want any of that other stuff. What tier do I choose?
Seems like I'm not the only one who requested a tier for "just all the books please" because they added it and replied to my message requesting it. Still, assuming they reach the max goal, it's 31 volumes. That's $12 per book. Not actually bad. Still, for $750 I could get so many things. Comics are best sold a few at a time, so I fool myself into thinking I'm not spending too much on them.
Paranoia is getting rebooted. I'm waiting for a box + all pdfs tier, which hopefully is what Indigo will turn out to be. I'm not so sure about card+dice based combat, but their snippet of character creation sounds fantastically paranoid. And I do so very much want group character creation.
Why does everyone always feel the need to redo everything? Just reprint existing Paranoia. What's wrong with it? I've already got Paranoia, I don't need another copy to rarely play.
I don't want a reprint of XP which is what the 25th Anniversary Edition looked like. I assume they can't just reprint 2nd Edition for whatever licensing reasons.
Game design has improved in the last thirty years. If they hand me a better system, I'm all for it.
Anyway, I'm curious enough to get it. Hopefully they'll unfuck their tiers/stretch goals/addons.
Those look very nice for organizing purposes. My concern is that they are going to make the games much heavier. When you carry games around rather than drive them around, that's a big problem.

Oh no! A hiccup in my Utopian city living! (I jest)

How is it that kickstarter projects are able to publish books with very high production values at a lower price point than big publishers?
