There's an amulet that lets you swim about in lava. It's fun. also good insurance in the nether.
Pkerr & I spent.. way too long, making HV solar arrays in a semi-automated fashion. Good grief. you need 8 solar panels & an LV transformer to make a LV array, 8 LV arrays and an MV transformer to make an MV array, 8 MV arrays and an HV transformer to make an HV array. We made .. 8? Each solar panel requires a boatload of refined iron, regular iron, redstone, copper, rubber, and coal dust.
But I'm making stuff starting from the bottom and spawning nothing. Getting to those hard to make items is difficult. I need lots of gold and diamond to get there, and I die looking for those a bunch of times. I haven't even SEEN any diamond yet.

Most people aren't spawning stuff. They're minecrafting up to a machine that let's you craft materials from sunlight.

Yep! The only spawned items I have are one redstone pump and a switch. All the rest, I simply bootstrapped up with my fabber.
EDIT - Also, fuck. My client crashed while I was on the server, building something, and now I can't get back in, because the server thinks I'm still connected. Bollooooocks.

Nano suit armour does the same.
Quantum Armour + ring of arcana = godlyness.
In other news, I am generating a metric shit ton of spare IC2 crops. So there is a Crystal Chest in my house (400x-1650) feel free to take any seed bags therein to start you own IC2 farms. Crops include: Netherwart, blackthorn, stickreed, and more. There are also some plain rail tracks there for anyone who wants them.
Lastly I have some plans that are best done in a perma-loaded chunk. Do we have any?

Yep, from scratch here, except for a stack of redstone Muppet gifted me after I couldn't find any for days. And even that was mostly legit.
Churba - Sarah says thank you very much!! She'll try and catch you on the server to say it herself. I'm not sure I want to let her on FRCF just yet... ;-)
I finally gave in and crafted some magical items. I admit, they are win. The black hole ring + gem of infinite density and/or the void ring, in an alchemical chest, in a room you use often... probably a bad idea though. :-)
Also, OMFG why didn't someone tell me that alchemical bags are each basically a bag of holding. I have so much more room now!!
Thanks to vaguely for the Klein Star.
I'm finally overcoming a bit of minecraft ennui and getting back into automation again. It's gonna be so cool.
I can't wait to see what you build, old chap. Your previous projects have been pretty cool - I've been a little busy for minecraft, but I'll be getting back into it at some point soon, likely going to be getting Grey to show me how to use those damned fillers.

Definitely looking forward to some Churba monuments.
C'mon guys, pkerr is kicking our butts out there...
True business, man, that fuckin' castle is immense!
My rough plan at the moment is to monument down and out, rather than up - I've got my initial valley and workshop, and now I can dig through to the next valley pretty easily, so I can put in structures and rooms along the length of both, connect them with small bridges. Shove a nice grand hall in one end, right behind that waterfall. Maybe a chamber of Yggdrasil, which I fully intend to carve out with a nuke, just to tickle sonic's fancy.
Grey wins for replica, though, that castillo of chicken pizza is pretty bang-on. Which gives me another crazy idea...
I've turned on multiple homes for all players. Right now you can set 3 (I'll probably increase this as long as nothing happens.)
You set multiple homes by using /sethome [name] where [name] is the tag you want to use for that home location. No brackets necessary. Be careful, when you first use this, it will wipe out your original home (and /sethome and /home will no longer work without the [name] parameter for you.)
Woo Hoo! Teleportation! Unfortunately, this also means it takes longer to teleport out of danger.
Anywho, My elevator now works 100%. It's completely computer controlled and runs between my downstairs office and my house.
Here is the code for it: while true do os.pullEvent("redstone") if rs.getInput("right") then //"right" being whatever side the buttons are plugged into if rs.getOutput("left") then //"left" being whatever side the elevator rails are plugged into rs.setOutput("left", false) else rs.setOutput("left", true) end end sleep(1) end
I think I'm officially done building functional stuff and will now build wholly aesthetic things. My downstairs house will now be turned into our servers library and material samples library. The only functional thing I might build is a power grid for the downstairs house. Need dem lights.

I've been spending too much time screwing around with the game engine and machines and not enough time building cool stuff.

...I may have found it. :P
