I don't think you can really equate it to the Virtual Boy. I had a VB, and it was stereoscopic vector graphics that fooled you into seeing a 3Dish image. This is a much more interesting device, and while its $300 on the Kickstarter to get one I think it'll be much cheaper when it does launch commercially. But even at $300 if it delivers, that seems like a pretty good price.

However, if/when something like Google Glass comes into existence then the hardcore VR goggle might find an audience.
