Just finished the album for the first time. Some of the cameos were good, some were meh. Todd Edwards and the first Pharrell song (Lose Yourself to Dance) really stood out as not good. The sad part being that I really enjoyed Lose Yourself to Dance until he started singing. Mostly the issue was that he tries to hit higher registers than he comfortably can and honestly hes not much of a singer to begin with. Panda Bear cameo was okay. Paul Williams was awesome. The rest of the songs that were not explicitly labeled with featuring artists were almost all good. A couple were meh but overall I was satisfied with the album.
That tree could be argued to be incorrect as well. There is a strong school of thought that Hip hop is lifestyle and not a genre of music. Some people say hip hop for rap and others will tell you that hip hop is rapping, bboy dancing, and graffiti painting.
The hip hop lifestyle and that stuff only exists/matters to New Yorkers, its all just rap everywhere else.
TIL there's an album of Daft Punk: Human After All Remixes that was only ever released on Japan. Well, that is no longer true. It has been released globally, and with some extra tracks as well.
