Hey, I like weather as much as anyone else (hell, I outright miss precipitation sometimes), but I will say this: You don't have to shovel sunshine.
That's almost the same reason my parents give for moving to Florida after living in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Denver, etc: You don't have to shovel rain.
I wear a t-shirt year round. I could wear shorts if I wanted to, too, except I hate shorts. Seriously, dude, the weather is great and, if you don't like the weather, it's a two hour drive at most to the weather you DO want.
What I don't get is the mental justification these people would have to go through. I can understand the CIA at Guantanamo, they have the whole protecting against the terrorist thing going for them, but how as a police officer do you parse that shit out in your head.
I think it was expected, let's make a wonderland where we can break all human rights laws outside of our country yet sanctioned by the Government, letting us still judge other countries.
Since the Government sanctions X actions by US Government employees to help "protect" citizens, the police should be able to do the same X things as long as they are protecting citizens.
Chicago Police commander resigns. It's a fucking disgrace that this guy has already another job as a law enforcement administrator lined up, rather than rotting in a cell himself.
Just moments before he was fatally wounded in an unprovoked attack, a San Diego police officer performed one last act of kindness; he bought a child food while buying his own dinner.

Oh, and the guy who was assaulted? His surgery was fully paid for by donations and exceeded in 2 days.
Kansas police conducted a no-knock raid on a house, found nothing, and nearly torched the place.
Hollywood police destroyed evidence in an ongoing IA case. Don't worry though, they're facing the harshest, most Draconian disciplinary measure: Demotion.
I'm never moving to the West coast.
Wish cops like that were the norm rather than the exception.
