But the space shuttle doesn't go anywhere near the moon!
My thing of the day:
You know when you first saw the jetpack, and thought "wait a moment... that's not a special effect!" and you really wonder at the achievements of science and technology? I just had a similar feeling when watching this video:
Whatever loser, I guess Low Earth Orbit is alright, if you're POOR. Me and the cool kids will be living it up in our moon palace while you hang out with the Plebs in LEO.

Richard Branson called. He says you're full of shit.
MIT and NASA are planning on launching a Lego Mindstorms 2.0 Satellite with Arduino Backbone into space soon. The net cost of such a unit is probably $1000, and most of that is just telemetry.
Found out that one of my favorite professors recently got a $1.1 million grant to help development of smart antennae. A few of my classmates did their senior project on this, when the project was just starting. Glad to see that it's really picking up some steam.
Honesty is supposedly the best policy, one hears this often, but the truth is that there are no sharks wearing rings and chains of gold in the actual ocean, and I'm sorry but that sucks.
Not sure what exactly you're missing, but I guess I have to explain the joke to some of the non-American forumites. This is a sign at Burger King, a fast food chain. The sign is parodying fancy restaurant menus that have suggested wine pairings for each item on the menu. Burger King is poking fun at these menus by "pairing" Coca-Cola fizzy drinks with their own menu items. It's silly because Burger King isn't fancy, and they know it. Did that fill in the gaps for you?
I want a quad stacker so bad right now. Quad stacker, Dr P, and onion rings.
Dude, I'm craving Dr Pepper. I've got a Hungry Jacks(The local franchise name for Burger King, for those of you that don't listen to Atomic Trivia War 9000) right down the road, but Dr Pepper is expensive to get down here, and kinda hard to come by.
