So I watched this earlier, then played a full playlist of Queen music videos while I worked. Then I put this on again, and at the end where he sings "This is the guitar solo..." I thought "Wait, I don't remember hearing that on Somebody to Love before. Within the 2 minute length of the video, I'd forgotten I wasn't listening to Freddy Mercury singing at all! I wasn't watching the video, just listening while doing something else, but it's still a remarkable fit. I hope he wins the audition!
Oh, and it seems that video might be from the PSP game "Hatsune Miku: Project Diva" with Miku in an unlockable Ulala oufit. Good going SEGA for getting that in there.
I'm days late in responding to this, but . . . I read it a couple times, and was still unclear on how much was satire, how much was straight-on genuine social criticism, and how much was psychosis. What's your take?
I don't think any of it was satire. I'm pretty sure it was straight 50/50 social criticism and being a total nutjob. I think that believing it is satire is like, a safety device for your brain; "Nobody could be that crazy." Fact is, that's not true.
Wyatt, I put that picture on my ipod for emergency directions. Today I used it to help someone on the street who was asking how to get from Davis to Kennmore.
There is part of my brain that is saying that what he's doing is impossible. Then another part reminds it that, "No, what he's doing is just impossible for us". That man must have amazing levels of strength and muscle control.

They could be wrong, of course, but if they're not, that's pretty cool.
Why isn't there Space Channel 5 Part 3 with Miku guest starring?

And now, thing of my day:
I know, because I was that crazy.
Godspeed Space Bat.
even is that isn't a fedora.
Also: This is probably the first dubstep song I haven't just liked ironically.
