"...partially shut the capital city down in the weeks leading up to the parade, starting around Aug. 20. China shut down between 10,000 and 12,000 factories in Beijing and neighboring cities..."
"...accounted for about 6.6 million tons of lost production. 40,000 construction sites in and around Beijing also shut down for the duration."
The thing is, all these factories are in China because of cheap labour and lax environmental regulation. The US and UK economies could do with that manufacturing work to improve unemployment etc. More countries doing their own manufacturing on smaller scales instead of having more container ships, again adding to eco-problems so on and so forth.

He basically moved his whole channel to YouTube and posts short videos almost daily.
The best Bruce Springsteen concert we have video of is finally available in full on the internet. Also, not anything like what you'd expect from a Bruce Springsteen concert from 1986.

Thanks!
