  • I love (aka hate) it when people complain about having to watch Avatar dubbed in English. There are actual people like that, you know.

Hahahaha. Oh mans, that's hilarious. When you inform them it's originally made for English, what do they say?
  • This image from the series is making rotation around the intertubes. I love how she has is bending 3 elements like a boss with her tummy sticking out.

  • The clip in question.

Anyone else following their official tumblr Korra Nation.
  • I'm following it now. She was bending 3 elements by the age of around 5. That's BOSS!
  • I think I am going to like her. She seems tough.
  • "I'm the AVATAR so DEAL WITH IT!"
  • I'm looking forward to a lot of things. The music is going to be the roaring 20's with Chinese a twist. The settings are so beautiful. Skyscrapers that look like pagodas! The more and more I learn about Korra, the better she is. I'm looking forward to the other characters too.

I love that sequence as well, but I count all 4 elements: she kicks up the earth but then sends it flying with a punch of wind.

I didn't see that wind... It just looked like the standard gestures to move chunks of earth moves that earth benders always used. Besides, isn't part of the plot of her show is that she visits Aang and Katara's son to learn airbending?

Yep. If I recall, she's going to see Mako, Aang & Kitara's youngest son, to learn air bending.

That was all earthbending you see, Neo.

If I ever had a daughter, I'd want her to be like young Korra.
  • Watched it again and compared to some animations of earthbending in Avatar, I can see the argument that there is no airbending going on.

Still can't get over her entrance in that scene, love it!

Um, no. I want my walls to stay INTACT, thankyouverymuch.

  • But she can also fix them no charge.
  • She can probably make a better house.

    Actually, I believe it's Tenzin.
  • You're right. Mako is a fire bende and friend of Korra's.

I thought Mako was Iroh's original voice actor before he passed away. Or did they name a character after him in Korra's show in his honor? If so, that's actually a really cool gesture.

Yes, they did that in honor of him and yes, it's a very cool gesture.

Mako is also being voiced by David Faustino. Many will remember him as Bud Bundy from Married With Children.

Interesting. I didn't know he was still in show business. Last I heard he quit show business after Married with Children to run a hiphop (apparently his "Grandmaster B" persona on MwC was partially based on his real life interest in hiphop) night club in LA.
  • April 14th. That is all you need to know.

Dear. God.. Considering the history of date-releases in the past in general, I would have been content with a summer release... but this is just TOO AWESOME. I think I jumped a little in my seat when I read that.
  • Wow. As I was watching the leaked 1st episode of Korra and posting about it, it was gone. Sigh....

  • Episode 1, terrible streaming quality though.

Did I hear Batou? And Spike?

    Anyway, it looks freakin awesome.

  • Terrible quality or no, this is so fucking awesome. Blah, but now I have to wait even longer for a new episode. D=
  • Looks like we've got a Char on our hands - this should be a good series.
  • I'm far, far to excited now. Only a month left to go!
  • Yeah, I can wait for the actual release. I've had my fair share of low quality 4th generation VHS fansubs that I don't need to mess around with this.

At least it's good to know it is living up to people's expectations.
  • One more month, my body's ready! Aside from the fact that this was really good, Korra is a beast, literally.
