It's interesting to look at the concentration of different campaign signs as I drive through different parts of the state. Out here in the boonies, almost everyone has a McCain/Palin sign on their lawn, but it very slowly shifts over to Obama/Biden as you head north towards town. Unfortunately it's to the point where seeing an Obama sign all the way out here is like a slap in the face (but far more enjoyable). Some time I'll have to knock over my neighbor's McCain/Palin sign and put an Obama/Biden sign in it's place. As if it's standing triumphantly over it's defeated corpse or something.

Yeah. We'll take the high road. Let those old cranky Republicans get all violent and petty. We kids are better than that. Respect free speech and other people's property. If you want to do something, try to convince them with words, not wreck their sign.
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh police said McCain campaign volunteer reported being held down by a black man who then cut the letter "B" in her face made up the story.
Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said investigators gave the woman a lie-detector test. They also found "some inconsistencies" in her story.
The 20-year-old student, Ashley Todd, of College Station, Texas, initially said a black man robbed her at knifepoint near a bank Wednesday night and then cut her cheek after seeing a John McCain sticker on her car.
Todd, who is white, later said she was knocked unconscious and didn't remember being cut in the face, saying she only discovered the wound later.
My favorite quote from the article: "As it happens, McCain’s campaign is going quite poorly and Obama’s is going well. Imposing artificial balance on this reality would be a bias of its own."

Y'know what? I'm sick of imposing artificial balance. If one sides ideas are stupid, they should be called stupid.

There's no hope for anyone that's NOT Republican.
