Rym: "he punched individually every single person is that over israel"

Rym: "where i'm still a women"

(My video feed comes up) "poster human"

I love how all of the panelists very quickly gained the same fear of the buzzer that the panelists on QI have. I think I did it right. ^_^

  • From Episode 67, but ONLY on the Youtube version. This segment this is from is NOT on the audio version.

  • Man, I need to remember to listen to these in my downtime. If I was more confident in my speaking and audio skills, I'd ask to come on for a round.
  • I think Neil DeGrasse Tyson has stepped up to the man swallow
I only found out that Transcript is a thing watching this latest episode. I am quite enjoying it.

  • I just watched the latest episode (70) and at the end, Victor mentioned Al Jazeera coming to North America. I already have it in Canada.

For how long? AJ America has been live for a few weeks.
  • I'd say at least a year.
  • Wow you guys haven't got Al Jazeera? I thought that had been round for years, obviously just outside of the US.

Al Jazeera English has worldwide reach and has been around for a while; Al Jazeera America is a new channel with content specifically oriented towards the United States.

    Oh right misread it.
  • We're live on Friday Night Party Line! Tune in to catch our pre-show banter and warm up! This episode, we'll be talking about cars and car culture! Watch it on Google+ to ask questions live, get links to the things we talk about as we're talking about them, and give us feedback during the show!

    Link!
  • Question: Whatever happened to Sounds of the Commons?
  • Podfaded. I'm considering bringing it back.
  • To borrow a phrase, and that concludes our Broadcast day, featuring George the Mazda Maniac and Omar, the Datsun Devil.
  • And Churba, the last V8 Interceptor.
  • So, it's time to make some announcements:

    1. Thaed is no longer, in any way, involved with Friday Night Party Line. Earlier this month, he signed over complete ownership to me. This has the side effect of me no longer being paid to do the show. This does not mean FNPL will be ad supported. There will never be ads on FNPL (unless someone offers me some obscene amount of money up front). However because I'm no longer being paid, I can feel totally free to make big changes. Such as...

    2. Friday Night Party Line will now be released twice a month. With the faster release schedule now implemented, the episodes will also (optimally) be shorter. We're aiming for 30-45 minutes per show.

    3. Also, in the weeks between shows, Churba, Nelson, and I will be running another show called Acceptable Vices. The idea is that, where FNPL will focus on timely subjects, AV will be more flexible, allowing us to go in depth on certain topics, conduct interviews, play games, and other stuff that really is outside of the FNPL's now timely nature. The first episode of AV is now out.

    4. There will, subsequently, be new feeds being created. Currently, both shows will be on the same feed as FNPL is on now, but I'm working on creating two additional feeds. One will be of Acceptable Vices alone, one of FNPL alone, and the current feed will be both shows combined. I'm not yet sure how the website situation will work.

With all this being said, I hope our kinda built-in audience here on the forum will enjoy the new way FNPL is heading and that you will also endure our Acceptable Vices.
  • Oh yeah, we have a thread. Cool!
  • You think Acceptable Vices should have one too?
  • Shave thread.

Man I had a great shave yesterday, I would recommend Shark blades, sharp but forgiving.

    Read that as 'shave Thaed'.

    Yeah, I did too.
  • What happened to Thaed?
  • We tried our best, but alas, he could not be shaved.
