No just a one-question survey asking if you were more likely to buy tickets to Disneyland now. I clicked the X button to exit it and it let me watch my video.
I've had my new external hard drive for less than two weeks and its already gone belly-up. Worse, it was in that slim period between my second new hard drive arriving, and me having fully transferred all my media to it so that I could free up space on my computer. So while no work or anything was lost, 500 gigs of tv and movies are locked on this stupid thing.
It's not bricked, because the light is still flashing and the hard drive is spinning, and my devices detect a USB Mass Storage device, but it's not showing up as a drive. Bluh.
I'm 100% sure I have said this before on the forum, probably more than once - It would absolutely be cheaper to fly to the US, have a short holiday, buy CS6, and fly home than it would be to buy it here. Christ, I'm pretty sure that on at least one occasion I said it, we couldn't even BUY CS6 here, so I was going by the price for CS5.
Even in the industry, it's not too uncommon to pirate photoshop, at least for small operations . Students do so almost universally.

This is sadly too true. The number of times I was just told "Can't you just download it?" No, No you can't! I'm not going to commit a felony just so the business can save a grand. It's not worth it on moral grounds, ignoring any legal justifications.

Fuck everything about this.
At some point in college I started just doing the entire project myself, or at least as much as I could do, to mitigate the inevitable failure of my project-mates. No one really liked being told not to worry, I already figured they'd try to fuck the rest of us and did their work for them.
Just spent 45 minutes arguing with a self-professed "History teacher at a prestigious high school with a Master's degree" on reddit who insists that Socialism and Fascism are utterly synonymous.
It snowed in Leeds. This can mean only one thing, that despite it forecasting snow, the council did nothing about it, so the whole city centre grinded to a halt. So instead of taking me 20-30mins to get home on the bus, it took me 2 hours. And that is only because I got bored for waiting for a bus and decided to walk home. Oh it only snowed a tiny bit, like 1 cm, if that.

Of the two group projects that I had this year both have been ruined by one guy who could take no criticism and made the worst slide shows ever.

*sigh*
Those people rank just below the self taught amateur. The cruel irony being that in history at least having an MA doesn't mean squat. Its either a PHD or a BA the MA is only good in an academical sense as a stepping stone to a PHD. If you are bragging about your MA then you could not cut it at higher education.

Fortunately I just hit X.
