My musical talent is minimal, so it was 90% shittalk.
I played trumpet, have cursory knowledge of music crafting, and have bought LSDJ and dream of being a chiptunes star. Other than that, mostly shittalk.
I am %100 pro Indefensible Pleb Music (the band). I can mostly play bass, so that could be useful. I also don't think that more than one person who can't play an instrument should be let in, because that's what caused the Sex Pistols -- that being said, we would need one person who can't play an instrument.
One of my favorite websites of all time, Spill.com has been critically downsized, nearly to the point of where I don't think it will recover. They were forced to make a video game portion of the website, gained a lot of new members and earned over 8,000 dollars in a telethon...only for it to be cancelled a year later. 3 major podcasts have been killed off for budgetary concerns and even one of the core members of their crew, one of my friends...has lost his job.
This is one of those rare moments where I'll be writing letters and sending messages to the company to really consider what they are doing. I mean...downsizing is one thing, but I don't think a corporation like Hollywood.com knows about doing something that could harm your traffic beyond repair.
In my fail of my day, a woman behind me almost had four separate collisions (two of which would have been with my car) trying to get around me. 1. Almost rear-ended me. 2. Almost t-boned an SUV 3. Almost side-swiped me getting around me 4. Almost rear-ended a Fusion.
The kicker? The lane she got into slowed to a crawl while mine kept going.
Is it possible to go to the card office, send out for a new one, and use that to show proof of Social Security Number for the training? I know there's a slim chance of that since it's after 6 on a Friday, but that's what I did for my last job.
I found out that Peggy Sheehey, one of the two educators responsible for the very successful WoW in School program, had her position as a media specialist and teacher eliminated...
Reason given?
Dumb shit superintendant said there was 'too much technology' in the school system.
My friend, having literally received his motorcycle license a hours ago, has decided that taking a test ride on a Yamaha ZF6 600cc sport bike at dusk is a good idea.
So last week I got a ticket in the mail for speeding. I recognized the spot where the ticket said it happened (I drive by there every day), but the date and time sounded fishy, looking it up, it was very early morning on the last Saturday in April. I usually don't drive on weekends and definitely not this early in the morning... except this time, where I drove to a Magic tournament in a larger city.
So today I got ANOTHER ticket. Same spot, again very early in the morning only about two weeks later. Except this time it was on a public holiday. My mother had borrowed the car since theirs was used by her husband and she had to work (she's a florist and mother's day was right around the corner).
I had too much fun this weekend and now must survive the rest of the week based on the all the groceries I currently have. I think I'm gonna have a lot of salmon fillets.
Last night I decided it would be good to get some work done, so instead of videogames or hanging out with friends I was writing JavaScript until 3am. Then I thought I'd wind down and start a book that my girlfriend had given me, The Secret History. I read about a third of the book, and didn't fall asleep until the sun had risen. Having forgotten to set any kind of alarm, I woke up super late today (seriously, like 4pm). Now my day is all messed up.
Oh, also: My debit card got skimmed a few days ago, apparently. Not a super big deal, since I called my bank and they reversed the charges, but because it's Memorial Day weekend I can't get any money until Tuesday. Also, the dude who cloned my card has really boring spending habits.
The Frau is prosecuting me for plagurism on the basis that there exists another AMV set to the same song as mine. Not the same anime, not the same editing -- she didn't even watch the damn thing. But apparently this (mine) is identical to this:
Some friends of mine were planning on moving into an apartment tomorrow, but just found out that their application was rejected. Now they get to pack up the truck, and not have any idea where they're going.

All my rage. All of it.

Urgh.
This is why I need a laptop with a dedicated graphics card.
