  • I just had Vegemite on toast for breakfast.
"I said, 'Do ya speaka my language?' He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich."

I was humming it while I ate. Random embarrassing story - first time I went to the states when I was twelve, I heard that song in a wallmart, and it made me so homesick I started crying.
  • Met a beautiful girl tonight. Seemingly smart, she played "Skin Is" by Andrew Bird at the party we were at. I shout, "WHO THE HELL PLAYED THIS!?" and she responded. I went "Do you like the Fleet Foxes?" which moved into her shrieking, telling me they are her favorite band (they are mine as well), and us simultaneously announcing our favorite song as "Blue Ridge Mountains." She was whisked away by friends after a conversation about said band (she said the Foxes also "make [her] feel like a medieval maiden, with braided hair, ala King Arthur"), but told me to ask for her number from her future roommate. I did so, and also asked if she was single. She is.

    Tonight was a great night.
  • I decided not to go to Midnight tonight and instead drew my lover and chatted. It felt awesome and the picture came out great. I haven't drawn from life for a while so it felt good to do so.

Not much a booh yah, but I drew something I really liked.

Is your life a manga? Because that is awesome.

Not yet, though I might draw a slice-of-life strip about last night. The resulting (and amazingly intense) hangover will probably be omitted.
  • I never knew a zombie movie could be so heartwarming as Zombieland.

I saw it yesterday. It was great.

After reading a bit of Sanctuary (online, sadly), I've decided to stop shit-talking and start acting. I'm making connections with city planners and Influential People in Rochester, and I'm going to get involved in rebuilding this city. I'm going to really focus on my coursework, and get an awesome degree from RIT. I'm going to learn as much as I can, and apply that knowledge towards raising the world up from its pit of mediocrity, to create something we can be proud of.

    Today, Rochester. Tomorrow, the world.

That's what you get. I have been rereading Sanctuary up until the volume I don't have (Vol. 7) while I've been campaigning for the last few months and it definitely starts to color how you feel. I'm suddenly like "Council by 30, the Governorship by 40!!!!!!" and then I have to rein myself back and realize I don't have someone working the Yahuza angle nor do I want to be the governor (most likely) :-p
  • Brutal Legend tomorrow.

How is the campaign going, by the by?

Windupbird did, it's the Vanilla software acting up again.

This is a fact. I will amend said quote to "a medieval maiden, with braided hair, like someone from Arthurian lore." Oh, Nine. You and your nitpicking.
    King Arthur never existed
Also, I am, for the record, aware of this.
  • Since King Arthur is fictional, he could be "a medieval maiden with braided hair".
  • Since King Arthur is fictional, he could be "a medieval maiden with braided hair".
    Queen King Arthur.
  • On this lovely excuse for a government holiday, I've discovered the show Leverage via instant Netflix. Jeremy and I have already watched the first four episodes and plan on watching more today.

I barely spent anytime at my computer to check the internets, and I don't feel like I've missed much. I love days off.

Not really much of a boo yah, but more of an "Ahhh". I needed a day like this for a long time now.

    Queen King Arthur.
The good news is that Tim Curry could still play him/r in "Spamalot."
  • My clubs concession sale at the Library's Poe movie night broke better than even, which is better than we expected.
Plus, I got a free collection of Poe's work, including my favorite Poe work, Masque of the Red Death.
  • I did a cyberpunk version of Masque of the Red Death for my storyboard project. It was a cool story.
  • I played Fallout 3 for about 3 days for the first time ever, and I've gotta say I look at games a whole lot differently and realized that all single player games need to be open-ended and sandbox-esque.
  • If my graphics card wasn't fried, I would be playing Fallout 3 right now.

If you have a 360 (which I presume you don't), just play it there.

Ironically, Fallout 3 is a lot less open-ended and sanbox-esque than Fallout 2. (Fallout 1 may be a tossup.)

It did not act up at all. It did what was expected, copy the selected text, put it in a blockquote and add it citation using the username of the post you hit 'quote' at. I just selected the text Sonic quoted and hit 'quote' because the original post was not available for automatic quoting. Christ, I've said it numerous times, the code is not acting up, it's just user error, or laziness. Now I ask you, what does it matter what name is there when it comes to a silly reaction to a silly comment? Also, nobody said it, unless someone is crazy enough to be reading their posts out loud.

And then there's the handful of other posts equally out of place. Forum, I am disappoint.

For the record, I did just have my quote button oddly slam Timo's avatar and post into a thread when I didn't highlight or quote his post at all. Nine, am sorry.
