FRCF Love

Hey guys, gonna use this forum as a hub for Love information. We need to determine a forum radio frequency so we can contact each other when in game. Also, post your username so we know who is who. Should you wish to join us, I believe most of us are joining "Sever number one". If the server is full, try to add "WaterIsPoison" as a referrer as there are an extra 50 slots per server if you have a friend in the server.

    This looks like an amazing game....this is...I just cannot believe how intuitive and fun this game looks. I wonder if this is a sign that MMOs might be improving based on the state they're in currently.

    I downloaded the Alpha, but my graphics card can't play it. The driver is too outdated, and when I tried updating it, the website that makes my driver said it was custom made, and so they couldn't update it. So, basically, trapped in a world of suck. :(

    I can't get the alpha to run! It says I need to find some drivers at Intel, but I cannot find these drivers they speak of? Could someone give me a hand?

    Okay, yeah, I remember someone posting about that a long time ago. It does look cool, but I really don't have the time. I manage maybe 15 minutes of SF4 a day, and that's all the gaming I get.

    What make of graphics card? I heard Intel cards aren't working and ATI are having problems.
    I'm using an nVidia card under Wine and having few problems.

    Omnutia. I'm not sure what server I'm on. I used WiP as my referral code.
    Argh.. I keep getting an error telling me to update when I've got the latest version.

    Aaaaaaaaargh. I keep getting "you need to update your game", even though I just did!
    EDIT: Oh. Guess that's going around. The Love forum says it seems to mean the server is down.

    Lucky...Very sad that my video card is poop. Although it is many, many years old.
    Perhaps when I have money someday it shall be replaced...Or maybe a new laptop someday...Who knows...

    I double click on the client and my screen flashes black then goes back to my desktop. Ah well. I got it running through WINE on my laptop earlier, I might just have to use that to play the game.

    Make sure you use the latest version of WINE from the WINE website. The Ubuntu repo version crashes when you log in.

    What sucks is that TribesNext only work with the Ubuntu repo version so I can't play one while waiting for the other.

    Well I'm pretty much fucked when it comes to playing this game. I used the Driver Update Utility and here is what I got as a result.

    Product Detected Intel® GM965
    Current Driver Installed 7.14.0010.1409
    A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

    You could try reading the news posts. Or my post in the TotD thread (I think). Intel graphics cards are a no go. Same goes for some old ATI cards. Heck, even Omnutia already mentioned it in this thread.
