Don't touch Rym! His ego might explode and kill us all!
It's an ego to say that one game I had nothing to do with making is the only game worth spending substantial effort helping to improve without compensation? ^_~

By most standards, yes. However, most standards are wrong in this regard.

The way you worded it, it seemed as if you were touting your skill as a beta tester, not the worthiness of the game.
The problem is that any sub-optimal use of time is a waste of time. It is not that Rym values himself so highly; it is that given a number of options for what to do with your time, you should always pick whichever has the most value.

I don't have to. It is indeed subjective - the value is something that is specific to Rym, and he, at least, thinks that no other game compares. That isn't to say that Rym has absolute knowledge of how much any game is worth to him, but, for the most part, he certainly has a better idea of what he enjoys than anyone else.
Sometimes someone else will tell you to watch something you thought was garbage, and you'll enjoy it, but unless you're extremely inexperienced, for most things you have the best idea of what has value to you.
Valuing one thing so far above all others could have a number of causes - e.g. naïveté, cynicism, and the thing actually being that good. However, egotism doesn't really explain it.

It's also difficult to not have an ego with a fairly popular show, tons of cool fans, carte blanche to run whatever panels or lectures I care about at almost any convention I desire, gobs and gobs of money, almost a house, success at just about everything I ever attempt, etc... XD
Once you get a house, you'llalmosthave gobs and gobs of money.
Well, unless something tragic happens, after a few months in the house I'll have even more gobs than before. It's getting close to annual raise/bonus time.

Having confidence and an knowing your strengths is great, but you and I both know that there is some over inflating that happens and some blinders to minor personal weaknesses. I adore you Rym and you are a successful, intelligent, strong, nice looking man. However, you are not "god's gift" and you do exaggerate and inflate yourself a lot. It is harmless, but to point out that you use incredibly grandiose terms in which to describe yourself, your friends, etc. and often take a dismissive attitude towards others combined with your constant performing (which is entertaining - don't get me wrong), your use of a stage name in real life and an occasional lack of proportion does equate to a clownishly large ego at times. This is all fine, but you have to take some of the "bad teasing" (to use Emily's phrase) and roll with it.
I was known as Rym to my friends long before it was a stage name. It's a name I've used since I was very young in all of my personal dealings. The only people who ever know me by any other name are work-exclusive associates and some family. Even my teachers in high school called me Rym. I only call it a "stage name" when it would be more complicated or time-consuming to explain it in any detail.

I know all of this, Rym. I am just saying that practically altering your name (going well beyond a usual nickname) like that is just a little... silly? Like I said, it isn't bad but it would be like me asking people to start calling me Jett. Just because you did it young and stuck with it doesn't make it any less of an affectation. We all have our affectations.
Alright guys, the game is going to have a full release on March 25th. From what I can tell, it seems there has been a significant number of changes to the game since the beta and I'm going to give it another shot.
Is anyone still around on the account servers? If so, can you post the the referral code so we can end up on the same server when I start a new account.
Well I started playing again and it appears that LOVE in it's current stage is not a nice place to be. Whereas the early alpha had you wandering and exploring, the current version consists mostly of dodging between enemy camps while trying to find enough tokens before too many enemies pour into your base. Bottom line: AI put bases so close together it's hard to avoid them. I'd much prefer they make the bases far apart and have scouting parties wandering around and intensifying if you kill the first few.
