Tomorrow's plan: In the morning I'll be heading over to Manhattan to visit the WTC memorial. I'm not sure how long that will take, but I'm hoping to be finished up by lunch time.
In the afternoon I might head up to the Intrepid to see the new shuttle exhibit.
In the evening I'm meeting up with Nelson for pizza.
Thursday: not sure what I'm up to during the day. In the evening I'll be meeting up for dinner with juggling people.
Hey, could we push pizza plans to Thursday? My flight back was delayed, and it's playing merry hell with my schedule.
EDIT: Also, I actually agree with Scott about not bringing Eclipse to boardgame night. I finally played it at PAX, and it requires a Solar System's worth of table space. I can bring Engage, though! (and Zendo, if Rym doesn't bring it)
DOUBLE EDIT: Reading comprehension! I'd say it would be best to all get together for awesome pizza before boardgaming on Friday, if everyone's free.
I'm in for pizza and NerdNYC gaming. Did you guys have a specific place in mind or just grabbing slices at whatever random corner pizza joint seems closest to game night location?
My wife may actually swing by for food if timing works out, since she only works 3 or 4 blocks from there.
Why do I always miss the awesome NYC visits when I'm stuck at RIT? Just another reason why I'll definitely relocate back to my wonderful home city post-grad.
In other news, if anyone feels like visiting Rochester for a couple days, we have a wonderful couch + videogame setup.
Here's the pizza place I was thinking of. To my knowledge, they're one of the only two restaurants in NYC (and perhaps the United States) certified by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana. Basically, this means their pizza is legit. They also aren't too expensive, especially considering the amount of food you get.
By the by, they're at 31 E. 20th St. between Park and Broadway. We could all meet at Union Square, walk over, then hop the train down to Think Coffee for boardgames.
I just went there for the first time a few weeks ago and found it well worth the price of entry. While I generally dislike war, I do appreciate the amount of engineering and design that goes into those fighter jets. Also, the shuttle was just as huge and amazing as I had pictured it. Did you go on the Growler sub?
No. I decided to visit on the way out, but they closed the Growler at 4pm. I didn't realize that in advance, although the person at the desk said there was a sign up about it. I missed the sign.
I got the audio guide, which is one of the better audio guides to any museum I've been to. I also went on the 360 degree flight simulator, which was fun, but I felt sick for about 30 minutes after. Which I kinda expected.
The Enterprise was really good fun. There weren't many visitors today, anywhere on the Intrepid, so I managed to get a good video of me juggling in front of it. This will go well with the video of me juggling in front of the Saturn V rocket down in Florida.
I met up with Justin, AKA Linkigi, for dinner. We had burgers and talked mostly about sports.

I'll try my best to be at Think Coffee tonight, but I was feeling a bit under the weather this morning. It all depends on how I feel when I get out of work.

I want to get Infiltration. Perfect game for board game night.

I bought TEMPVS.
